  1. Today now marks 3 months (Carlos Menem on 14th of Feb) since the last death on Wikipedia's 'Top 100 oldest living State Leaders' list (plus the addendum of 5-10 more unconfirmed leaders).

Literally none of them has died for a quarter of a year and the youngest of them are a few months from 89 and the average age is 93 or so i'd guess.

Given even Western Life expectancies, that seems to be a real oddity and rather unlikely to happen (didnt do the math tho <_<).

Can someone explain how type 4 cancer is not included in the rule "must not be known that the person is about to die in the near future"? Same with Trebek last year for example I don't get it they are almost easy wins

"Candidates cannot be famous solely for the fact they are likely to die imminently"

    Read the rules properly.

Ronald Reagan (born 1911) was also older than four of his predecessors:

    John F. Kennedy (born 1917)

    Richard Nixon (born 1913)

    Gerald Ford (born 1913)

    Jimmy Carter (born 1924)

In between Nixon and JFK there is Lyndon B Johnson who was born in 1908, so Reagon wasnt older than the past four.

  4. Raul is planning to step down as leader of the Cuban Communist Party during the next party convention from 16th-19th April 2021. Big Move as he's still considered the real leader in Cuba and now him and the entire old guard of the leadership (nearly all fought in the Cuban Revolution and are in their 70s, 80s and 90s) is said to be replaced next week.

    Article mentions him stepping down.

  5. Life expectancy varies for each person with AD. The average life expectancy after diagnosis is eight to 10 years. In some cases, however, it can be as short as three years or as long as 20 years.

AD can go undiagnosed for several years, too. In fact, the average length of time between when symptoms begin and when an AD diagnosis is made is 2.8 years.
