Martin Bashir steps down as BBC Religious Editor following health concerns

The same Martin Bashir that pretended to be seriously unwell with COVID last year then was papped coming home from the shops?

He must be anticipating who will be portraying him in upcoming seasons of The Crown and the resurrection of the worldwide criticm that follows...

    CaptainChorizo...

I have one doubt in my mind...

This rule of Windy City Deadpool:

    * Cancer Mum's/Athlete's Wives(IE Tiffany Youngs) and other Famous For Being Ill Types will not be accepted even if they get a qualifying Obit.

    All the news said:

"Maria Menounos' mother, Litsa, has died after battling brain cancer"...

    or...

"Maria Menounos announced that her mother, Litsa, died on Sunday after a long battle with brain cancer"...

    Then...

Is Litsa Menounos... the only exception to that rule?

    And... Why? :scratchhead:

    Hugs. ;)

Family of the famous is a grey area/heavily debated in deadpools. Her famous daughter was enough for her to qualify over some regular cancer mum with no blood related ties to fame.

While I personally avoid choosing fringy picks, her illness was widely publicised by her daughter on her own talk show for quite some time. The same question may be asked when Terry Lubbock karks it, but his campaigning for answers over his son’s death gives him ‘fame’ in his own right I guess. For now they’re allowed to be picked.

  3. Or pissing themselves with excitement over the thought of owning a thread that’s 7 pages long and feel the need to keep it alive by unnecessarily bumping it with useless information every 5 minutes.

  5. I'm going to let go of the Balakrishna hope and congratulate Reptile on the win and being a tough opponent. It was a bumhole-clenching match which easily could have gone either way, and I never felt comfortable with my lead with the very dying picks he had, and I wish him luck in future matches.

Thank you Joey for hosting the cup, it's the first time I've participated and it really was good fun. I will take great pleasure in deleting my list of vaguely famous Indian actors/politicians and look forward to compiling it from afresh next year. I hope Mr. Pillai brings you all shitloads of points.

  6. My pick R Balakrishna Pillai seems to be dead according to this. Weird how they wouldn't the announcement in the title itself though, so probably best to wait until something more concrete comes through as no other site is reporting it. Preferably for me, something will hopefully pop up in the next 24 hours!

If not dead he's still in "extremely critical condition" to tease me.

  7. Happy for my joker, Kazi Hayat, who was supposedly in critical condition with COVID after heart surgery that also has heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes for being discharged a few days into April.
