Seriously, it took years for someone to think of this? Extremely odd of him never to pop back to let us know he's alive unless he's completely stopped browsing the forum given how often the subject has come up in the intervening years..... Maybe he literally stopped browsing the forum or found it quite amusing that we all thought he was a dead. As regards to dead dead-poolers at some pointy in the past 3 years, Banshees died apparently. That's the only confirmed case I can think of, which kind of makes sense. Why would anyone think to tell a forum of weirdos obsessed with death that a family member friend has died, and how many of us actually tell our families about this site anyway!

Okay then. I don't really have the time to host this full time and don't want to get into the situation where it never gets updated and it really would be a shame to see this die. @Grim Up North's suggestion of self-totting up is a good one to get us to the end of the year; this is a tool to make things a bit easier in that regard and hopefully make it easier for any new host who might want to step forward to take over from Willz. The only thing you need to do is key in the date of the persons pick* and their points total will be updated. (There's a back up before anybody thinks of playing silly buggers - but yes it's set to anyone can edit - if a dedicated host steps forward I'll change that to just them or they can copy the list into a new spreadsheet and edit it themselves). I mean it's not ideal either way but I enjoy watching the matches still - would rather have a crowd but hey-ho. The fake crowd is passable as a means of drowning out the onfield calls of players which is a real turn off but the sooner we have real crowds the better. I've found myself listening to a lot of 5 Live comms though.

I totally understand the need for diversity in football commentators, but I'd hope given the large number of non-White players available to choose from sky and the BBC could find a decent one (which they already have with regards Ian Wright and a few others) I mean this is where I disagree, his insistence on bringing things back to himself when it's more useful if he talks about what's going on on the field is really irritating - he's the only one on Sky who makes me reach for the mute button if I'm back from the kettle too quickly at half time... That said this certainly isn't a defence of many of the other presenters who are just better rather than necessarily any good.
