I bet Eddie Izzard is furious. They've ran hundreds of marathons for charity and not a sniff of a knight/damehood from the Queen, or an offer to sing a song with Michael Ball, or to have a gin named after them. This fella does a few laps of his garden and he's received all of the above, and an interview on Life Stories with Piers Morgan. Poor Eddie.

Appearing on tonight's One Show on BBC1, worth a look to see how she's holding up...

I bet Michael Ball is recording his version of Candle in the Wind as we speak (that man loves a bandwagon). And I can't wait for the Captain Tom easter eggs to go on sale.

Surely the definition of a big miss is someone with a huge celebrity status (not Mark frigging Eden or Gerry bloody Marsden), who should have been on the list because they were famous enough and it should have been obvious to put them on the list due to having one foot in the grave (Larry King or Olivia Newton John or Jeff Bridges, for example). Just any old celebrity death is NOT a miss, and even a really famous celebrity death is NOT a miss unless it was obvious that they were at risk but weren't put on the list. For example if Donald Trump died (fingers crossed) it would be a surprise and a massive celebrity death, but it wouldn't be a miss because there is no reason to have put him on the list in the first place. So can we stop listing every celebrity death who is not on the list as a big miss, pur-lease!

Jeff Bridges, James Caan, George Alagiah, Tom Parker, Olivia Newton John, James Whale, Bill Turnbull...all names that should've been on the '21 list, but if they last the year, must be shoe ins for '22.

Thoughts and Opinions on the 2021 Deathlist
GEMINEYE replied to Charles De Gaulle's topic in DeathList Forum
Surprised not to see Sarah Harding or Tom Parker, or Olivia Newton John, but think it's a decent list - pleased to see Burt Bacharach on there. -
I still think we've got another one before the year is out. I'm going for new year's eve.

Phoenix Nights comedian Ted Robbins looking and sounding awful on a documentary about Victoria Wood on C5 tonight. Very weak voice and trembling hands, looking so much older than his 65 years. He had a heart attack on stage at the Manchester arena a few years back, definitely one to watch for 2021.

Pain in the arse...? -
She'll be a "whole lotta history" by this time next year.

Sticking with December 6th. Still think one of the old American politicians on the list will go soon (Dole, Kissinger or Carter).

Some names I'd like to see on the list for 2021: Burt Bacharach Bernard Cribbens Gina Lollobrigida Mohammed Al Fayed Dame Joan Plowright All of them over 90, so could go any time, and all of them would be big misses if they went without inclusion (ok, maybe not Cribbens).

Will the 2020 DeathList break the 2017 DeathList record?
GEMINEYE replied to GWB_'s topic in DeathList Forum
The recent US Election must have had an emotional toll on American politicians such as Carter, Dole, Kissinger and Cheney. I'd be very surprised if all 4 of them made it to 2021. Plus, Leon Spinks must be ready to drop by now. Record will definitely be broken.
