Current TOP 10 1) Maria Branyas Morera 116:318 2) Edie Ceccarelli 115:345 3) Tomiko Itooka 115:239 4) Inah Canabarro Lucas 115:222 5) Juan Vicente Perez Mora114:234 6) Elizabeth Francis 114:175 7) Ethel Caterham 114:148 8) Okagi Hayashi 114:137 9) Pearl Berg 114:107 10) Masa Matsumoto 114:049 Masa Matsumoto entered The Top 10 after Tane Matsubara's death. She is the 2nd oldest person ever from Shiga Prefecture (the Japanese prefecture with the highest life expectancy) behind Mina Kitagawa (1905-2020). Matsumoto while being in good condition in her centenarian and early supercentenarian years she appears to have declined sharply since the age of 113.

She is the oldest person ever from Hokkaido Prefecture (the northernmost prefecture of Japan) having surpassed the previous recordholder, Hatsue Ono (1898-2012). -
New photo of Maria Branyas Morera, she entered the top 15 oldest ever after surpassing Gertrude Weaver's age.

This is the 1st top 15 oldest living death since 16 July 2023 (Eusebio Quintero Lopez's death). If Kame Uema's age gets validated in the future and she is still alive currently it would mean that (as both Eusebio Quintero Lopez and Katsugo Tago would be 16th instead of 15th at the time of their death) there have not been any top 15 deaths since 4 July 2023 (Ushi Makishi's death).
-
Now 2 people born in 1907 (Maria Branyas Morera and Fusa Tatsumi) have lived longer than all validated people born in 1905.
-
Charlotte Kretschmann turned 114 and celebrated her birthday in a restaurant. She is still in very good condition. Charlotte is the first validated supercentenarian who has reached the age of 114 in Germany. There are now 13 living114+-year-olds.

Juan Vicente Perez Mora reached 41827 days surpassing Yukichi Chuganji (41826 days). Juan is now 5th oldest man ever.

Juan Vicente Perez Mora surpassed the age of Tomás Pinales Figuereo (his age is pending validation by LAS). https://longeviquest.com/supercentenarians/tomas-pinales-figuereo/

Zhang Lixiong turns 110 today and becomes a supercentenarian.

RIP Domenica Ercolani (1910-2023). This is the first validated 113+ death after 4 months which is impressive given that there are 28 113+ validated living people.(29 before Domenica's death).

Katie Hatton (1877-1992) was validated by Longeviquest to have lived 114 years and 37 days. She was the first person in Texas to reach the ages of 112,113 and 114. This age represents the youngest age that can be definitively proven, but she could be older. https://longeviquest.com/supercentenarians/katie-hatton/ There are now 200 validated 114-year-olds.

Eliza Underwood (15 March 1867 - 27 January 1981) was validated by Longeviquest. She was oldest person ever, since 16 October 1979 when she surpassed the final age of Delina Filkins (1815–1928). The evidence that has been found strongly suggests that Underwood might have been even older. The earliest census records and the earliest documents found, specifically the 1870 and 1880 census records, confirm her ages as 4 in August and 14 in June of the respective years. Given her claim of being born in March, the two earliest documents would suggest a birth year of 1866 rather than 1867, indicating that she was 114 at the time of her passing (a year older than claimed). This would have also made her the first person on record to reach the age of 114. https://longeviquest.com/supercentenarians/eliza-underwood/#recognition-section

-
Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia from 1910 is still alive though. We don't know Gisaburo's condition.
-
Pearl Berg has surpassed Goldie Michelson to become the third-oldest Jewish person after Cecile Klein and Goldie Steinberg. She is already the oldest American-born Jew.
-
New images of Juan Vicente Perez Mora (27 August).
-
If Kame Uema gets validated it would mean we now have again a full top 10 of 114+ persons (after Okagi Hayashi's 114th birthday).
-
Okagi Hayashi turns 114.
-
Good... I was a bit worried of her becoming a new Gustav Gerneth.

Charlotte Kretschmann (pending validation) seems by far the strongest living person of the 1900s. Having said that I wouldn't be surprised if someone frailer outlived her especially if Japanese. Okagi Hayashi could be such a person as she is also quite strong.
