    of course this is just speculation and maybe her older sister was born in january or february 1902 which would fit but still this is quite odd…

    I am not sure that this info from findagrave.com is actually reliable.

    Also if her sister was born in early 1902 it doesn't mean that Kane wasn't born in late December 1902 as her family says.

    Hide Hamabe of Miyazaki, Japan is validated at 113 years, 337 days.

     

    So Japan has 5 (of 8 worldwide) validated SCs from 1908. There is also Matsu Gaja (still unvalidated).

     

    63% of living validated people born in 1908 lives in Japan. If mrs Gaja gets validated this percentage will increase

    I didn't post this fifteen days ago, but ~1.5 month ago (20 September 2022). I posted it again to update the current ages of the TOP 10.

    She is validated by the GRG at the age of 113 years and 327 days.

    While 1908 seems to be generally weak, it has 4 living people aged 114.3/114.4, born in less than a month.

    Ethel Caterham is 113:043 and Rose Eaton is 113:041. They are the oldest living persons in UK since 2018 (Olive Boar) and quite nice. I wonder if at least one of them could achieve reaching 114.

    UK has slightly underperformed during the last years in extreme longevity.
