Yesterday King Harald and his older sister Princess Astrid, Mrs. Ferner, were present during the World Championship final in biathlon in Holmenkollen. They congratulated the winners. King Harald and Princess Atrird's booth looked good. If you look closely at the king's shoes, you can see him wearing the popular moonboots. It has become a tradition for the Norwegian royal family to wear these shoes when they are out and about in the snow. Princess Astrid and Queen Sonja have also been seen wearing these shoes. Even though she is 91 years old, Princess Astrid still performs royal duties. She attends state dinners, various meetings, and other activities with other members of the royal family.

There are over 40 monarchies in the world and many hundreds of princes, princesses, dukes, duchesses, etc. All over the world. The non-British royals thread is a place to discuss the health of those people. But important royals like King Albert, King Harald, and Queen Margrete have their own thread. Exactly, because they are more famous and important royals.

Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, turns 86 this year. In 2021, he handed over some duties to his heir, the Crown Prince. Last year, he had many trips to Italy for medical checks. and looks frail in newer photos. He was not seen meeting the King of Bhutan last week when he visited Kuwait. I think that the emir might be one for 2024.

King Constantine II of Greece, king of Greece from 1964–1973. He turns 83 years old next year and has been seen using a wheelchair for a while now. He was in hospital in 2018 after having a stroke. And was in hospital with covid-19 in January this year. He did not attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II this year. I don't think he has much time left.
