Juan Vicente Perez Mora has allegedly outlived not just every USA male older than him but every USA female older than him too. This is just an extremely unlikely scenario for a man living in rural Venezuela. Can there be any credence in the alleged very old records of a remote rural area of Venezuela?

I do not claim that all supercentenarians are fake, since a large number of them has been recorded and several of them are from highly developed societies and rich environments where it would be much more difficult statistically to have a mistake in the date of birth, whether intentional or not or switch identities (in individual cases it still happens ). I am skeptical about those who are very old and those who come from very remote areas with a low life expectancy for the general population. Real hard evidence and real scientific methods are needed there to claim that they really reached this very unlikely age in a too good to be true stable shape. In other occasions a claimed very old age of 115 could be all the way down to more realistic 90-95 (we have already seen even this) or at best 110.

A different case... Still NOT retracted Weaver was born in Arkansas in an era before birth registration was widespread throughout the American Deep South. Combined with lower literacy rates, many African Americans from this time period were unaware of their exact date of birth. While Weaver’s 1900 census match states a birthdate of “April 1898”, her Social Security Application lists her birthday as 4 July 1898; the Fourth of July was a common placeholder date used by the Social Security agency for applicants who didn’t know their birthday. If the month of birth given in her 1900 census match is to be believed, then Weaver would have been around 117 at the time of her death, although her age was more conservatively validated using the placeholder birthdate. How is she validated if they even themselves know this is a placeholder birthdate? Is it scientific to validate a great old age of 116 (unlikely) with conflicting birthdays?

Kamato Hongo was once considered the World's Oldest Person by Guinness World Records too, in 2002-2003. Again, in 2010, years later, it was suggested that her age may have been altered, perhaps to hide a teenage pregnancy. It has been estimated that her actual age was more likely to be 110-112 than 116 as claimed. Given an older sibling was born in 1890, it's firmly established that she could be no older than 112.

Carrie White once was considered the World's Oldest Person in 1989. In 2010 it was suggested that she was likely only 102 and her age had been mis-estimated when she was entered into a mental health institution in 1909, following what was then described as "post-typhoid psychosis".

Shigechiyo Izumi was verified to be the "Oldest Living Man" by Guinness World Records in 1978. He lived to 1986, dying at the recorded age of "120". In 1987, a year after his death, Japanese researchers leaked to the media the idea that he had been "only 105" and had taken on the identity of an older sibling who had died GWR retracted this claim only in 2010. Just think this is Japan, a developed country and not Venezuela.

Lucy Hannah was recognised by "organisations" for several decades but suddenly the recognition was retracted. Lucy Hannah was not 117 years-248 days but she actually had the more likely lifespan of around 98 years.

Let's see what even these organizations say Mat(t)hew Beard was an American supercentenarian claimant who was believed to have been the oldest living person in the world from the death of Emma Wilson on 13 October 1983, until his own death over a year later. He was posthumously validated as the oldest person ever, the title he held from April 1984 until his age was surpassed by Augusta Holtz in 1986. His age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group, but this was later found to be inaccurate and his validation was rescinded by LongeviQuest.

Is it serious to claim you can say what is the age of a man allegedly born in rural Venezuela in the 1900s with some claimed documents?
-
These are not very reliable especially some of them. Do you trust Homeopathy or Creationism ?

This link is Locked. You missed my point.

Unfortunately, we have never seen the relevant documents that prove Juan's age in the public domain. Fauja also claimed a very advanced age for which supposed age records in marathons were being recorded. I am gonna use a more extreme example but if the government of north korea claimed that while it has a very low life expectancy it has the oldest person in the world with an incredible age difference compared to other developed countries would you say that this is really possible? What level of preservation and security of government records is kept in venezuela and especially in remote rural areas like the one juan lives in? It's not like he lives in a big city. A large number of validations doesn't mean they are of good quality too. Where is the actual scientific community to examine these claims based on hard evidence?

Is anyone concerned about Juan Perez Mora case? What are the chances for a man to live over 114.5 years? this is unlikely. It is much more likely to be around 90-100 years old. this explains the slight variations in his physical state and appearance relative to a supercentenarian. He reminds me a lot of the Indian Fauja Singh who, coming from a third-world country, claims to be decades older, so today he has found himself at the incredible age of a 112-year-old man in a fairly good physical condition. Juan comes from a poor country with a life expectancy for men today of only 66 years, that is 48+ years less than his supposed age. Statistically, this makes his age and claim even more improbable the age of 115 years for men is statistically the same as the age of 118 or 119 years for women. We can see a woman getting from 90 to 100 with very slight variations in physical shape but this is impossible for ages 108-118 or 109-119.I really wonder if the venezuelan archives and the venezuelan government can be trusted with the scientific documentation of juan's age and if validators have really taken into account all possibilities.
