    World War II Veterans

If they are considered to be war veterans, there were some children who participated in the War. The Hitler Youth is best known. Some Boy Scouts in other countries also engaged in the defense and resistance in their countries. Actress Neale Adams was involved with Filipino guerilla units as a teenager. The Himeyuri Girls which is a group of Japanese girls aged 13-19 trained to be nurses and were deployed on military hospital caves during the Battle of Okinawa. There are even some reports that some soldiers lying about their age to get enlisted.

Jan Furtok, Polish player in the 80s that defected to West Germany and played for Hamburger SV and Eintracht Frankfurt but is probably most memorable for scoring the goal that saved Poland from humiliation of getting a draw with San Marino during 1994 World Cup qualification, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer. He did a Maradona Hand of God just to save Poland from that. http://amp.n-tv.de/sport/fussball/redelings_nachspielzeit/Das-beruehrende-Schicksal-des-Jan-Furtok-article22854399.html

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Marcy Macguire has been confirmed to have passed away in 2021 One year on: News of Marcy McGuire’s passing was recently confirmed by her son-in-law. She died on August 07, 2021, in Palm Desert, California, aged 95. • The wide-eyed and impish red-head film starlet and singer is perhaps best remembered for her starring role in RKO’s "Higher and Higher" (1944), notable for the film debut of Frank Sinatra. She was dubbed by Hollywood executives as ‘The Female Mickey Rooney’ for her boundless energy (she also shared the pint-sized stars firecracker temperament). It was little wonder critics at the time compared her to Judy Garland. • During the 1940s, she became the pin-up for the 'Bobby-Soxer' generation; girls who wanted to be more grown-up and sophisticated than their age. Marcy - with her hair worn in bunches and with minimal makeup – was the person they could relate to. • Born Marilyn Jeanne McGuire, she began her career in her home state of Texas working as a nightclub singer, when she was spotted by film director Tim Whelan, who brought her out to Hollywood and signed her to RKO. Her spunky appeal made her a popular choice as a supporting player in a series of low-budget musicals. • She joined Lucille Ball and Victor Mature in "Seven Days’ Leave" (1942); teamed with Kay Kyser in "Around the World" (1943); and supported Frances Langford in "Career Girl" (1944). In "Seven Days Ashore" (1944), she was given the musical numbers ‘Ready Aim Kiss’, ‘Sioux City Sue’ and ‘Over the Waves’. In 1945, she shared top billing with Jack Haley in "Sing Your Way Home" and teamed again with Sinatra in "It Happened in Brooklyn" (1947). • However, by the early 50s, the Bobby Boxer made way for rock n’roll, and the types of vehicles Marcy McGuire appeared in were now dated. Undaunted, she turned away from acting to raise her two children, Michael and Cindy, by actor Wally Cassell, whom she married in 1947 (he and Mickey Rooney were best friends). Later the pair ran their own printing company. • During the 1980s, Marcy decided on a comeback, recording new material co-produced with her grandson. Wally Cassell died in 2015, aged 103. • • #iusedtobeinpictures #marcymcguire #actress #singer #bobbysoxer #franksinatra #rip2021 #hollywoodreporter

I use an online telephone directory of Uruguay and Spain to check if the player is still alive if there are no news regarding about that player. Granted, it's not 100% accurate but there's a chance. I didn't see Rafael Souto in either of those directories so I couldn't be sure if he is still alive. In the case for Argentina, their online directory is a mess. Unlike Uruguay and Spain where the person's name is listed in full name, Argentina does not. I saw there were 3 "Osvaldo H Cruz" listed and all live in Buenos Aires so I couldn't tell if one of them is the football player. Yeah I'm aware about Borjesson. There was an earlier post about 10 oldest Swedish football player so that's why I didn't bother listing Sweden's.

Found some residence record that could possibly mean alive for most of them. I couldn't for Ingrid Björk though. Erich Conard's real name could be John Erik Conrad Fahlström

The editor from Wikipedia has confirmed that he indeed got it from kicker.de Another source that we can probably say he died in 2011 is from this FB page https://m.facebook.com/istorijaexyufudbala/photos/a.1379658038888742/1379946928859853/?type=3 I've checked the page and he used to run a website about the old Yugoslavia league. I think he might be credible if he really does a great research of Yugoslavian football
