With the death of Glynis Johns reported on the forums as of ~18:50 Thursday 4 January only those with their lists in via posting above or via PM to me (which have all be acknowledged) have her as a legitimite hit. All other punters now have the knowledge of the hit and penalty of a missed hit - take this into account and do not select Glynis Johns. Might want to get your lists in before Jimmy Carter outlives another!

Recent picture of John C. Polanyi (Chemistry laureate, 1986, wiki) from an early December event at the University of Toronto. Compared to the 2019 picture in the wiki article, he's noticeably aged. The delayed November estimate, and last one for the 2023 DDP, shows that is has been the slowest in the year with only 20 total hits, with 19 in November (including a delayed Colette Maze obit) and an obit for R R Griffiths from 16 October. This gives a slight decrease in the estimated total of 306 (see table). At the time of writing, the hits stand at 290, already a new record. The final total estimate still breaks the 300 barrier. I always figured that DL forum members were the responsible type. This is the very definition of 'reduce, reuse, recycle'! I rarely find any eggnog in the shops and have experimented with recipes with 'mixed' results. Thanks for this @TQR, I'll give it a go. I now also have a source to point to when I get horrified looks for mentioning I like rum in my eggnog.

I agree with @RoverAndOut that May is likely. I'll be bold and say Thursday 2nd May - it keeps the measures in January and April fresh in the minds of voters and is before the bank holidays. Easter early in 2024 on Sunday 31st March, so wouldn't break up April as a month for campaigning.

Has anyone seen this? Any thoughts on what the episodes might be? My cursory look at Wikipedia narrows down the Dalek episode mentioned to either 'Mission to the Unknown' or one from 'The Daleks Masterplan'.
