NFL all-time great Randy Moss has revealed he is suffering from a serious medical issue, asking for “prayers” and urging people to seek regular check-ups and blood testing. Quote: Sounds like colon or prostate cancer. -
Authors Last A Long Time, But....

No longer not smelly at all. -
Many younger forum-goers might also recognize his voice from the cartoon Over the Garden Wall, which is a wonderful thing to put on and watch this Halloween if anyone has never seen it.

The vast majority of zoos, at least here in the US, are accredited wildlife conservation organizations that largely only showcase animals that lack the ability to survive in the wild if they were released. The image of zoos being little better than circuses in how they treat their animals is very outdated IMO.

Looking at recent clips of him, the man’s complexion was dark red going on deep purple. Doesn’t take a coroner to hazard a guess at cause of death.

RIP. One of my favorite line-reads ever: https://youtu.be/TKvHHl5iJek?si=NdKzeYNE__UyBbBj

Jones was, unless someone can correct me, the last surviving cast member of Dr. Strangelove.

Lou Ferrigno somehow looks better at 72 than he did 20 years ago. Not one to appear on any lists any time soon. https://x.com/rexkwondo92/status/1822076007542575109

Hell of a way to learn I had a member of Apollo 8 living just a few miles from me.
-
You seem obnoxious and pedantic.

Sam Butcher - the “artist” behind Precious Moments, the company that makes those little tacky porcelain figurines of children that your grandma probably owned - has died at the age of 85.
-
Probably not a household name but anyone can just read his list of credits and gain a sense of how major his impact on the sound of the 90’s was.

No idea if the popularity of Bar Rescue has at all translated to the UK - personally it’s my go-to “Stuck in a hotel room and have to watch something” show. But to the point - host Jon Taffer has taken several episodes off this season with seemingly no explanation. Taffer will be 70 in November, and every thing about his lifestyle and persona screams “massive heart attack before 80”

Mike Pinder being reported dead, per his son on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/1578796998999036/permalink/3660278857517496/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

2004 is now the oldest US election with both candidates and their running mates still alive.

I think the opinion of most people post the Kiss heyday of the early 80’s on Gene Simmons is that he is an absolute colossus of an asshole.
-
He’s just a guy who had to climb into an iron lung every night. Absolutely not going to get a NYT obit.

Billy Redden, who played the banjo boy, has a GoFundMe up to pay mounting medical bills from an undisclosed medical condition(s). It’s mentioned that he was compensated very little for the film and has worked at a Wal-Mart for the past seven years.

The bill was named after his son who died of respiratory illness in 2006, not him. Also this happened in January. -
I have no idea how popular it was in the UK, and I also assume you are over 35 years old.

Unless the pope dies this year this will probably be the most mourned worldwide death this year. Every boy in my generation had a phase as a child where they were insanely into DBZ, and its popularity across Japan, the English speaking world, and Latin America cannot be understated.

A little-known fun fact is that Tippi Hedren did a lot of work with resettling Vietnamese refugees in the 70’s and 80’s and at one point got her manicurist to teach a group of them how to do nails. Those of you across the Atlantic might not be aware but today almost all nail salons in the United States are operated by Vietnamese immigrants, and we have Tippi to thank.

Can’t believe Mongo outlasted one of his fellow Horsemen. RIP to a man who was a bitter old prick in wrestling long before it was fashionable.

This and Toyman from Smallville are what I remember him most as.

On the newest Jim Cornette podcast it’s briefly mentioned that Ole Anderson is “not in a condition to talk on camera”, whilst discussing future Dark Side of the Ring episodes. Assumedly due to Ole’s advanced MS.
