If, as Plautus asserted, the name be an omen, I'd say he's a surgeon. regards, Hein Thank you, ever so kindly Magere Hein.

Oh I do so love painting. Just the other evening while Marta was out cleaning the sewer drain, Diego, Gavin and I myself began body painting. It was quite a bit of merriment enjoyed by all three of us and would have gone on much longer had it not been for those pesky immigration officials appearing at the door. Diego of course is safe having become a citizen last August, however Marta, although she is wed to him, has violated some arcane and meddlesome law and is now facing deportation. Diego cares not a shred since it is a marriage of convenience for tax purposes; but, I am beside myself with rage. Where on earth will I find another to do all that Marta has done and work 7 days per week? I am not a tyrant, Diego always has Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday off, perhaps he can find a new spouse. Don't know when we will again be able to enjoy an articstic evening, I just hope it is soon, quite soon.

Oh gracious; but. this is simply terrible news, mortally terrible. How can you offer a post of this nature and not tell us the make and model of the automobile? Was it the same sort as the late Raflk Harriri was detonated in? One thing however has become through all of this most abundantly clear, Lebanon is not a safe place to drive.

This topic most certainly is taking some odd turns.
-
Even if that were all true (which I submit that it is not), I'd still rather be an uninspired youngster twit than a pretentious, judgemental twit. See you in the drunken fight thread tonight! (It's the long weekend! ) Well, gracious me C.P.! You certainly are an arrogant and egotistical young man which merely confirms my earlier statements.

Oh that was rich Mr.Jackal!

I do so wish certain cretins would learn to spell. And once more Dr.Hackenslash I am not who you hope I am. (I hope that wasn't too harsh)

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries Etc...2006
Bennett_Cerf replied to Tuber Mirum's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Today would have been my parents 75th wedding anniverasry had they not died so tragically so many years ago. Father of course lost his life on the golf course one ragingly hot summer afternoon and Mother went soon after while consuming dinner and her grief with a local law officer. I felt it was sinful, positively sinful for her to engage in inappropriate behaviour such as this, especially so shortly after Father had been interred but I kept the details out of the obituary and that, as they say, was that. Their headstones relate the tale of how they were born within a week and a day of each other and died within the same month as well. I just wished to acknowledge their anniversary as is my wont each year on this day, so very very grateful that this topic exists for this purpose. -
I really do not feel much up to making an extensive search at this time, so I am trusting that someone can tell me if Mr.Solzhenitsyn has written and published any volumes of interest as of late.
-
Am I sensing sarcasm?
-
Yet another allegation.
-
Oh but that was a splendid update Dr.Hackenslash, supremely splendid. May I inquire as to your field of medical expertise?
-
Gracious me Maryport, and correct me if I am wrong, although we both know that I am not, but were you not in fact just a few pages back bemoaning the length of this thread? For one who was so irate about it, you certainly have been doing your share to donate to its ever increasing life. This is not an attack Maryport, just a matter of natural curiosity. Why add to something which you felt was far outllived already?
-
I have often asked myself these very questions.
-
TLC, as indicated to Maryport, there is an ongoing discussion in the Near Misses for 2006 and in that locale is a posting of the words of this morose ditty.

Mr.Brimley, I am developing concern for you, as you seem to be extremely intoxicated on many of your visits to this fair forum. Have you sought help for what may be developing into a disease known as alcoholism? There are detoxification centers and rehabilitation facilities throughout the world, you might find it beneficial to inquire about them and what they can do to help you.

Yes, yes, darling. Iain reported this news at 3:52 A.M in the near misses of 2006 topic. You really should go and look at the responses there as it is generating quite a large amount of interest.

Get up in the morning slaving for bread sir so that every mouth can be fed Poor me the Israelite AAAAAAAAAAh Get up in the morning slaving for bread sir so that every mouth can be fed Poor me the Israelite AAAAAAAAAAh My wife and my kids they are packed up and leave me Darling she says I was yours to be seen Poor me the Israelite AAAAAAAAAAh Shirt them a tear up trousers are gone I don't want to end up like Bonnie and Clyde Poor me the Israelite AAAAAAAAAAh After a storm there must be a calm They catch me in the farm You sound the alarm Poor me the Israelite AAAAAAAAAAh Poor me the Israelite I wonder who I'm working for Poor me the Israelite (from The Israelites, Desmond Dekker and The Aces) Thanks. I can understand the words now ... but still have no idea what he's singing about! It would appear that he is relating a tale of hard labour, abutting the edges of slavery so as to feed his family. In the second verse his wife seems to leave him, taking the young ones with her. In verse three, it appears as if he has turned to a life of crime and is robbing of all things animals or crops from the farm. In the closing stanza it appears that he may be incarcerated and not sure who will benefit from his labour. Throughout the morose ditty, he alleges himself to be of Israeli descent.

My goodness gracious me. Have you no possession of historical knowledge within the field of politics? Mr.Bentsen was not, as you have tried to assert, Mr.Mondale's running mate. Mr.Bentsen was affiliated with Mr.Michael Dukakis former Governor of Massachusetts and ran with him on the Democratic ticket in the year of 1988. Mr.Mondale on the other hand ran in 1984 with female candidate for Vice President, Geraldine Ferraro. Both times the Democrats were defeated at the polls by Republican candidates, Mr.Mondale and Ms.Ferraro lost to President Ronald Reagan in his re-election victory and Mr.Dukakis and Mr.Bentsen lost to George H.W. Bush, World War 2 Veteran.

Oh dear, this is indeed sad news. A tragic loss.
-
I must concur with you Mr.Brimley and most wholeheartedly at that. Today the world is filled with simpering twits who have not one iota of decency within them nor do they have any understanding of what is true and meaningful. Their idea of what is style, music, art, acting, etc. etc. is so under the level of intelligence that it leaves one astounded, completely and most monumentally astounded.

Due to their questionable status within the states and imigration laws, Diego and Marta are unable to obtain driving validation cards. As to the bus, I refuse to ride with common folk who so often insist upon perspiring in public. A taxi however might be an idea, I shall think on it, yes, that I will.

I take it, derived from the posting which you have made Maryport, that this topic will be dedicated entirely to Mr.Buchwald and won't I trust be drifting off to other themes. Sad to hear Mr.Buchwald is doing so poorly. Will he be on the kidney donee list?

Birthday greetings to you Rotten Ali! May the day hold all which you desire and more! -
I do so hope I have been mentioned in his last will and testament. The roof leaks have increased greatly during the recent springtime rains and it is threatening my stamp collection not to mention my scale model train system running through the second floor north side. Dear Kenny Southwell, he shall be missed.
