The Happy Birthday Thread
Summer in Transylvania replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Donald P. Bellisario, creator of Magnum, P. I., Quantum Leap, and Tales of the Gold Monkey is 87 today. Dustin Hoffman, actor in numerous films throughout a 62-year (and counting) career, is 85 today. -
Tests negative. Still isolating until a second negative test, however. I reckon it is a cover up for treating his very obvious Stage VI Pancreatic Cancer that he caught off of The Queen.

Archie Battersbee has died after a months-long legal battle over whether or not his life support should be withdrawn. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1651425/archie-battersbee-dead-news-life-support-turned-off-parents-high-court-latest-update

They are so obvious they were almost definitely going to be repeated, so naturally nobody picked them, all with the same fears. Corrie was my backup, however.

Gary Schroen no longer alive and well. He was a spy sent to kill bin Laden in 2001, and thus one of the first United States officers in Afghanistan for the war. He was told to have bin Laden and his inner circle's "heads up on pikes". He saw less than 24 hours following the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri, succumbing to a Stroke on 1st August 2022. He was 80.

My entry is Tales of the Gold Monkey. I know this is a small error, but I just know it will bother me if it is not changed. Thank you.

This one is a day late, because I mistakenly thought his birthday was today, but: Wishing a belated happy 43rd birthday to Soman Chainani, the greatest author of all time! -

Russell was one I was seriously considering for 2023. RIP. Also a hit for me in 30/30, it seems. -

Some suggestions: Bas de Gaay Fortman - Looks worse than I think he ought to. I will be surprised if he is not gone in the next few years. Peter Procter - Terminal cancer since at least 2019. He was also badly injured in a motor racing accident in 1966. Michael J. Fox - Parkinson's for about 35 years. Officially diagnosed in 1991, but it is reckoned that he has had it for longer. Reported dead not so long ago. Lando Buzzanca - Worthy of consideration should he see 2023. Harry Whittington - Shot by Dick Cheney in 2006 and has subsequently suffered from numerous ailments. Milos Zeman - Basically suffers from every ailment known and unknown to humankind. Pervez Musharraf - Another one that may not see 2023, surely a must for the main list if he does? Seems to be none too dissimilar to Zeman. Tim Curry - Stroke in 2012, has been wheelchair-bound since. Queen Elizabeth II - Seems to be coping well, given her Stage 27 Terminal Cancer Cancer diagnosis last year. Frank Field - I don't think anyone, except maybe the DL committee, expected him to get this far. Kazimierz Klimczak - Frail, has been a war invalid since 1939(!) William Roache - Slightly different interpretation of immortal, but he is doing incredibly well for 90 and seemingly can rather easily pass for a healthy man 10 years younger (Ken Barlow is supposed to be born in 1939). Mikhail Gorbachev - Honestly thought he was on the 2021 class of immortals. Surely, if he makes it to 2023, he should be considered?

Is it required that one submits a team of exactly 20 for the DDP (minus subs)? I was scrolling through the teams list when I found this, which rather clearly does not: Is there any particular reason why, or is it an error? I presume it may be because of Betty White, but I thought that I would bring it to the attention of this year's DDP hosts here.

Would someone who was credited as crew in multiple episodes that cameoed in one count as one or multiple credits?
