Some guys with no mentions in this thread yet that I think would make decent picks: Dabney Coleman. 92 in 2024, had cancer a decade ago, hasn't appeared in anything in a few years. I figure he'd make a good character actor name to replace Ackland (or a drop like Linden.) Louis Gossett Jr. 88 in 2024, still appearing in stuff but noticeably physically weaker now, nearly died of COVID and a cancer survivor. Didn't look too hot in April IMO: https://youtu.be/rZGxgUFTPdU?t=811 I'd be surprised if he had many years ahead of him. George J. Mitchell. 91 in 2024, previously battled prostate cancer and leukemia. Said this year he's doing better but didn't seem confident he'll be around for too much longer. Hou Hsiao-hsien. 77 in 2024, hugely influential Taiwanese filmmaker who has had dementia for years, and it only recently got bad enough that it became public info which suggests he doesn't have too long left. Could be a good more "cult-style" pick. Alejandro Jodorowsky. 95 in 2024, similar cult-style pick as the above only he's way older. Several health issues over the years and has outlived several family members. Jim Lovell. 96 in 2024, not very high-profile anymore and recently became a widower, would be very surprising if he saw 2025. Roger Corman. 98 in 2024, still doing well his age (if a bit frailer than he was a few years ago) but is enough of an aged A-lister that I think he should be on the list from now on.

Cheney has obviously been a premature pick up to this point, but I think he's now at the stage where including him is reasonable. His doctor gave him 10 years to live in 2012, and obviously he'll a couple years past that by 2024. He definitely could live another few years, but he won't make 90 and given that he's already been on five lists I can't see them taking the risk of cutting him now.

For any pedants out there, his Variety obituary says he died in the morning, so that'd make him the 14th hit and Rosalynn the 15th.

Not really. He just hopes he'll act again at some point in the future. Given that Brooks isn't exactly the most active filmmaker on the planet, the chances of him getting a movie off the ground and an 87-year-old Nicholson agreeing to be in it by the time it finally shoots are probably... 0%?

Yeah, findagrave editor seems to believe she is dead because she's marked deceased on familysearch, but living people on there over a certain age are usually always marked dead, so people can add profiles and make trees or something along those lines. In any case, her son's obituary from August confirms she is still alive.

He's on my DCAU DDP theme team. Figured at his size he wasn't going to live much past 80. Sucks to be right, he was great.

The article has to be in English my friend.

Got a THR obit, so I'm revising this. They went with February 1926 in Oregon as her DOB/POB, no birth name, and say she has sons named Chris and Paul. Well, Chris and Paul do appear connected to the Betty I mentioned above, but if you check their birth records, their mother's maiden name was actually "Tibert". I briefly looked in records for whoever Tibert is and if it is our woman, and didn't see anything, but also I'm really tired so I don't care that much so there's that. But the more important part of the mystery is solved and she is dead. RIP.

Ok. I think IMDb is probably lying its ass off with her date/place of birth, and she was actually born Betty Jean Irish in Los Angeles on September 28, 1926. I wasn't convinced of this in the past, but I am now. One, she was described as "92 and going strong" in this January 2019 tweet, which would obviously be premature for February 1927, but not for the above dob. Two, an autograph address here leads to a George and Elizabeth Hoffman. If you reverse-engineer it, it's clearly the above person (same dob + there's a Betty Irish who married a George Hoffman in CA records). Is she dead? Maybe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Major actor ailing with cancer all over the news. Would be wild if he never did. It doesn't seem like he's in any imminent danger (he says the drugs will stop working "at some point", but doesn't give any indication that'll be in the near future, and obviously he's still active and looks quite good), so he may not be an incredibly appealing 2024 pick, but after that, sure, especially if he has any visible decline. Also of course there's the chance of an Andy Taylor case also where doctors find something that makes his prognosis less grim.

I pmed a team a bit ago. If you didn't get it I can just post it here.

Actually probably yes, because here's another People article where they confirm she is dead as a doornail. edit: Ah, I see you found this yourself. In any case, it was never likely to be fake. Her publicist quoted in the article has a wiki page, and searching their site shows he has yakked to them many times.
