Robert Hanssen, former FBI agent who spied for Soviet and Russian intelligence, dead in prison at 79.

It was already denied by his manager.

Now Barry Newman is worryingly dead. DDP pick. The article confirms he was born in 1930, not the 1938 reported everywhere.

LBJ's Secretary of the Navy Paul Ignatius is still going, although his post was bumped down from the cabinet before he served. He'll be 103 in Nov. Based on this interview from last month, he looks very good for his age. Certainly better than ol' Hank.

It'll be ok my friend.

I think it's fairly safe to say, based on that AP article, Carter isn't on death's door as of right this second. So I just said fuck it and picked Lear at random.

With Anger dying May 11 and Rolf dying May 10, that's two hits I had that beat Adamkienė to the punch but weren't announced until way later. To spite me obviously.

Superstar Billy Graham dead.

An account uncritically reposted the "family prepares for the worst!" RO crap and he commented on it saying he was praying it wasn't correct. Sure they may both be in Strays this year, but that doesn't mean Foxx is gonna be wiring him insider health information.

I think this whole story is probably pretty simplistic. He had a stroke, or some other medical episode, and isn't fit to make appearances, allowing tabloids to go crazy with "grim condition" shit because they know he's not going to pop up any time soon while he recuperates to prove them wrong. But no indication he's ever seriously been close to death.
-
In the interview, he says his first ailment was actually a cancerous tumor on his kidney, not lung cancer. I think TMZ got confused. I'm no oncologist, so who knows if his medication cocktail/surgeries are actually effective, but his doctor in the video says he could probably have some years left. I doubt he's on death's door as of yet.
-
The TMZ article about the crash said paramedics treated him at the scene for a possible concussion. That doesn't sound like he actually DID get a concussion, imo. Probably just precautionary given his age and the nature of the accident. Amusing that Radar Online is trying to whip up some doom over his "grueling" work on Days of Our Lives. It's a guest appearance on a soap opera where they do one take at most, and there's already somebody older than DVD who still appears on it. I'm sure he's begging for mercy.

Don January is a hit for MariNisia. Congrats. 1923: Bob Barker / Ruth Stiles Gannett 1924: Jimmy Carter / Eva Marie Saint 1925: Jacques Delors / June Lockhart 1926: Tony Bennett / Marilyn Knowlden 1927: Kenneth Anger / Cleo Laine 1928: Jean-Marie Le Pen / Ann Blyth 1929: Peter Angelos / Winnie Ewing 1930: Rolf Harris / Joanne Woodward 1931: Daniel Ellsberg / Barbara Barrie 1932: Andrew Young / Nancy Kassebaum

Don January, former PGA champion, dead at 93.

I doubt it. As can be seen from the DDP, only internationally-renowned legends like Lin Brehmer and Augie Nieto get QOs, not nobodies like this Lightfoot clown.
