Neal Jimenez, writer of River's Edge and writer/director of The Waterdance, died at 62 on Dec. 11. I almost brought him up a few months ago because he was reported dead in July by Roger Avary on his and Quentin Tarantino's podcast, but I figured it wasn't true. Guess he actually was in bad shape.

Rapper/singer Theophilus London (wiki) has been missing since July.

He died this August at 89.

Pelé gains another week of life every time this thread deems his demise imminent. I think that means by now he's a safe bet for 2047.

Well, is a "Betty White" merely dying on New Year's Eve, or does it need some sort of shock factor? I don't think anyone would be surprised at this point if he did die.

DeAngelo is probably fool's gold. He was captured on security cameras in June/July 2020 active in his cell, cleaning up and climbing around to cover lights. Then suddenly the next month at his trial he's in a wheelchair acting as if he can barely talk or move. Granted that was two years ago but gut feeling tells me he's probably doing fine for his age. For other California serial killers, Edmund Kemper is a "famous" guy I'm surprised isn't discussed much here. Per his 2017 parole transcript he had a stroke that seriously diminished his mental faculties, not to mention he's obese and wheelchair-bound.

It's either that or he can't understand English. But yeah, I don't want to be rude because there's no way he's trolling at this point. Way too much "effort" was put into this thread... like a day after he was explicitly told multiple times no one cares about all this Genarians stuff. -

Didn't mention something to remember is that not everyone makes it to 100 once. 0/5 -
An old-ish one I just remembered. In 2019, an account with no other edits added a 2017 death date for Theodore Streleski (wiki), a Stanford University student who murdered one of his professors and served seven years in prison. He would've been 81 and is obviously pretty off-radar given the crime he committed. He was most recently living in San Francisco per familytreenow and other sites, but he doesn't have any kind of mylife page, lending credence to the idea that he might've died. Thoughts?

10th pitcher to pitch a perfect game to die. 13 left, and most of them are pretty young outside of Koufax. Wonder if he'll live to see the next one? Been a decade now...

Didn't OP already make a thread for this guy that got deleted or am I hallucinating?

Well she's 13 in the 1940 census, so it can't be the other two. Not to mention the source for the 1926 DOB on Wikipedia is a newspaper article from 1927.

He's apparently talking about a fall he had that injured him. So... as long as he doesn't do that again, he still seems like a safe drop.

Here he is in October (with an off-again on-again nasal cannula):

New Rolling Stone interview. Pays tribute to Angelo Badalamenti. Just guessing, but doesn't strike me as gravely ill. Tough one to topple clearly!
-
I'll humor the OP. He's "only" 83 and spoke at some event in Munich this summer. Looked fine. So, yeah, no need to keep tabs on him for now. Come back in 5-10 years.

Another new Nancy Burnet article. Here's the pertinent stuff: "He's going to be 99, and he takes one prescription medication and that's for his thyroid," Burnet, 79, revealed. "So, he does not take anything for blood pressure, cholesterol, the umpteen other things that most people take as they grow older." "He's in very good health for his age and his humor is still in good shape. He's had a very charmed life." Burnet said that she and the former "Truth or Consequences" host would be having a "very simple and quiet" birthday celebration at his home with "cake and the usual things." Burnet told Fox News Digital that Barker now enjoys spending his days playing board games or cards and watching sports or classic movies. "He's a history buff," she said of the former U.S. Navy aviator. "He's very much interested in history," she added "He doesn't read much anymore. But when he did, he read mostly about history, American history, wars, World War II. He's very knowledgeable about it."

^ Very old news at this point. She returned to acting this year.
