Now, if I’m correct, there’s 6 survivors the 1950 World Cup :
Kurt Rey and Walter Beerli for SwitzerlandAntonio Carbajal from Mexico
Carlos Rojas from Chile
Dario Jara Saguier from Paraguay
Sinisa Zlatkovic for Yugoslavia
For Walter Beerli, I found one website saying he died in 1995, but it doesn’t seem trustworhty, as its source is an obituary for a guy named Walter… Burri !

You mean the Saudi player Obeid Al Dosari ? I do think he’s still alive ?? And according to Wikipedia he is !
14 players dead that’s a lot for a World Cup who took place only 24 years ago

I think he is the third player from 1998 to pass away, after Rashidi Yekini from Nigeria and Freddy Rincon from Colombia

Souto is also deceased but no date known. However a number of Twitter posts refer to him in the past tense. I do believe I posted it here at DL
Thank you for your answer. What are your sources for Cortes, Ochoa and Jae Sung ?
Because I checked transfermarkt, Wikipedia (english and spanish) and other sites, and there is no mention of their death. If you already posted it on DL I will check out previous pages
