These other links, a twitter post and an article also say he’s dead. The article written on 4 March talks about his funerals so he should be dead at the end of February.

If you like there’s the expression "ce n’est pas ma tasse de thé" (that is not my cup of tea) used for something you don’t like or know. For example : "La politique ce n’est pas ma tasse de thé" (politics is not my cup of tea)

French fencer Jacques Lefèvre, who participated to the 1948, 1952 (bronze medal), 1956, 1960 and 1964 Games, has died (source given by Oldest Olympian) aged 95.
Lefevre is a very common name in France, and I couldn’t find other sources or obit.
But the DOB and birth place do match.
