  1. Cuban light middleweight boxer Rolando Garbey, Silver medalist in 1968 and Bronze Medalist in 1976, has died aged 76.

     

    Garbey and Enrique Regueiferos (in light welterweight) were the first medalist for Cuba in Boxing.

     

    He also competed in the 1972 Games but lost in quarterfinals.
    In 1974, he became the first light middleweight World Champion in the inaugural tournament.

    Well, this isn’t my work.

    I saw the info yesterday on Oldest Olympian facebook. They do say "he later served in the US Air Force" and they provide a link to back that up.
