  1. Continuing Arghton's List updated for 2024:

    All men born before 1912:

    Validated Men:
Juan Vicente Pérez Mora (27 May 1909)
Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia (04 April 1910)
Gisaburo Sonobe (06 November 1911) 112th birthday not confirmed.

    Unvalidated Men:
Samwel Mburia (before 31 October 1906) I think it's extremely unlikely that Mr. Mburia is the age claimed. Met King Charles on 01 November 2023. Wheelchair-bound. I wouldn't be surprised if he is one of the oldest men in Kenya, but I'd be very surprised if he's even 110.

Jose Flores Flores (11 July 1907) When he was 113, I believed his age a lot more, but considering the fact he's 116 and still mobile is very hard to believe. More skeptical by the day. Survived Covid twice, the second time at age 114. More frail this past year.

Cristobal Melo (20 January 1908) No idea. Frail and wheelchair-bound, but still looks about 90-100 to me. 115th birthday in 2023 not confirmed.

Julio Sevilla (20 May 1908) I thought this was a joke to be honest. This dude doesn't even look 70. Oddly, his supposed "son" looks older than him.

Elias Chavez Alvarez (08 November 1908) ID card from 1994, and medical registration from 1961 support his age, but relatives say his age was mistakenly recorded and he was really born in 1928. His nursing home has the original copy of his birth certificate which they say supports 1908 as his birthyear, but his relatives won't allow them to release it. Very frail on his claimed 114th birthday in 2022, and I was surprised he made it to his 115th birthday in 2023. Skin has a "grayish" tint to it that makes me believe his heart isn't working properly. One of his eyes also appears to be covered by a cataract, but this has never been mentioned.

J.R.M. (04 February 1909) Has photos to "prove" his age, but photos are undated. He does not look like a supercentenarian to me. Frail & extremely doubtful.

Gabriel Lopez Morales (18 March 1909) Studied by an organization back in 2021. He looks like the age claimed. Very frail. Last confirmed alive at the age of 112 in 2021. No death records/notices ever found.

Anonymous (before 27 May 1909) I am not allowed to talk about this case publicly, but this man is 99.99% likely to actually be the age claimed. He is alive as of December 2023. All I can say is that he is older than Juan Vicente Pérez Mora.

Victor Moran (31 July 1909) Has his own page on the gerontology wiki, and was researched by an organization. Very frail. Last confirmed alive on his 110th birthday in 2019. No death records/notices ever found.

Santos Cruz Flores (01 November 1909) Celebrated his 114th birthday in 2023. Strong and healthy appearing for his 113th birthday in 2022, however it seemed that he has grown increasingly frail, and his eyesight has gotten much worse from his 113th birthday in 2022 to his 114th birthday in 2023. Could still stand without assistance for his 114th birthday. I am not allowed to say, but certain evidence was recently found strongly supporting his age. An investigation was launched to discover his true age in December 2023.

Julio Motta Salinas (05 December 1909) No idea. Looks in his 100s, but I doubt he's 114. Frail.

Jeronimo Chavez (20 January 1910) Extremely frail and bedbound in 2022. Last confirmed alive nearly a year ago on his 113th birthday in January 2023, I'd be very surprised if he's still with us. Looks like a supercentenarian.

Alvaro Jose de Souza (14 February 1910) He does not look like a supercentenarian to me, although researchers considered him a plausible case. Could still stand on his own at the time of his 112th birthday in 2022, but his mobility for his 113th birthday is unknown. He was sitting in a chair for his 113th birthday, with no wheelchair nearby, so this implies he was still able to at minimum make it from a wheelchair to a normal chair with probably a cane. Looks frail, but still healthy. I'd be shocked if he was over 100.

Juan Reyes (13 July 1910) Again, no way this guy is 113. Could still do hard physical farm work last month in December 2023. Looks about 75 to me.

Selvino Jesus de Oliveira (July 1910) I doubt he's 113, looks way too young. Mobility issues mentioned by his relatives at the time of his claimed 113th birthday in July 2023, but the extent of these issues are unknown. Like Alvaro, he was shown sitting a chair without a wheelchair nearby. He surprisingly does not seem frail to me.

Zhu Laohua (01 September 1910) No idea.

Pedro Antonio Rodrigues (12 December 1910) Another case I'm skeptical of. I doubt he's actually 113. A user said that they had proof he was actually born in 1925, and was using the birth records of an older brother, but this user has failed to provide "proof" of this. A little frail, but still seems strong.

Francis Zouein (01 January 1911) Apparently, he has documentation confirming his age, but I have not seen any of this documentation. Looks more like about 94-100 to me. Frail, but mobile.

Sebastian Catalan (20 January 1911) He does not look like a supercentenarian, but was frail years ago. Considered doubtful by organizations. To me, he looks about 10 years younger than the age claimed.

Estanislao Jimenez Cruz (07 May 1911) Very frail and bedbound. Last confirmed alive in August 2021, aged 110. I'd be amazed if he was still alive and celebrating his 113th birthday in a few months. No death records/notices ever found.

Josias de Oliveira (21 October 1911) Seems more frail than what he did a few years ago, but still looks healthy. Could walk with the aid of a cane for his 112th birthday in 2023. Has documentation, and is likely the age claimed.

    Dong Xiting (1911) No idea.

    Debunked Men:
Vicente Landaeta (29 May 1907) Actually born in 1930.

Eugenio Zanotty (23 December 1909) Actually born in 1919. Extremely frail. Lost his leg to thrombosis last year, and has gone totally 100% blind.

    R.S.T. (16 November 1910) Actually born in 1996.

Carlos Rincon (24 December 1910) Actually born in 1915. Seems to have gotten more frail from his 107th birthday in 2022 to his 108th birthday in 2023, but can still walk unaided and has no medical problems. I think he has a chance of actually becoming a real supercentenarian in 2025.

Fauja Singh (01 April 1911) Actually born in 1928. Frail, but still strong.

Abilio Borges Moreira (09 September 1911) Not allowed to say anything about this case.

mr ryoung122 was blocked across the fandom wikia network by wikia staff

gerontology wiki of wikia is having lower quality because of weird managemenet behaviour and deleting information and links during last months.

Ushi Makishi is still listed as limbo and 114 years 0+ days while her nursing home with consent of family said she died 114 years and 139 days. all the wiki is a mess during the last period and more unreliable.a big number of validated supercentenarians is listed as unvalidated.

Banning ryoung122 was the best decision that the wiki has made to date... I'll leave you with that...

  4. Continuing Arghton's List:

Only one validated man remains from 1909, 1910, and 1911, but the amount of documented men from 1911 is still quite a bit. Most of them appear to be in good shape. Here is a full, in depth list of the last known men remaining from before 1912:

    Validated Men:
    Juan Vicente Pérez Mora
(27 May 1909) health has been stable for years. He doesn't even take daily medications! His personal physician said that at the time of his 113th birthday, he could easily live many more years.

Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia (04 April 1910) increasingly frail over the last 2 years.

Gisaburo Sonobe (06 November 1911) not enough information, although apparently he can still walk and has most of his original teeth.

    Documented Men:
Otilio Dominguez Santos (15 June 1910) increasingly frail and wheelchair-bound. According to his great granddaughter, he has no health issues.

Francis Zouein (01 January 1911) suspicious birthdate, but apparently he has good documentation. Could still dance unaided as recently as May.

Abilio Borges Moreira (09 September 1911) unknown. Confirmed alive privately for his 112th birthday.

Josias de Oliveira (21 October 1911) could still walk with a cane on his 112th birthday last month. Described by family as "robust".

    Undocumented/Claimaints:
Samwel Mburia (1906) no way this guy's 117. His actual birthdate is not even known. Looks about 90 to me. Wheelchair-bound.

Jose Flores Flores (11 July 1907) red flags. Possible identity switch early in life, but this is only speculation. More frail in recent years, but could still walk unaided on his 115th birthday in July 2022. I doubt he's 116, but he's the oldest man I wouldn't rule out.

Elias Chavez Alvarez (08 November 1908) very frail. Could move from his wheelchair to his bed on his 114th birthday with the aid of a bar, but that was the limit of his mobility. ID card from 1994 supports 1908 birthdate.

Santos Cruz Flores (01 November 1909) frail. Could still walk unaided at the time of his 114th birthday. Documentation actually does exist that supports his claimed birthday, but we have to make sure it belongs to the same Santos alive today. According to his grandson, he is in pretty good health except for his eyesight which has begun to fail this past year.

Alvaro Jose de Souza (14 February 1910) considered "plausible" by professional researchers. Could still walk unaided for his 112th birthday in February 2022. Seems frail this past year.

Selvino Jesus de Oliveira (July 1910) looks way too young to be a supercentenarian. I'd say he is about 80-85. However, his case was researched by professionals and nothing against him has been found so far. But nothing supporting his case has come up either.

Pedro Antonio Rodrigues (12 December 1910) someone claimed he was actually born in 1925 but has not provided any proof. Looks oddly young and is oddly mobile for a supercentenarian. I'd believe the 1925 theory if said person produced actual evidence.

    Sebastian Catalan (20 January 1911) frail years ago. Milan Q doesn't think he's 112.

Link works fine for me. And it does actually confirm the date of death for Yang Longsheng. I would recommend try clearing your cache or using a different browser. And by the way when you get to the site, it'll ask for an access code, which is 9640321. Hope this helps.

I know we're not supposed to, but I want to make some predictions here.

I predict that Maria Branyas Moreira will pass away in summer 2024, aged 117 and the new WOLP will become either Fusa Tatsumi, Tomiko Itooka, or Inah Canabarro Lucas.

Either way, I predict that at some point Inah Canabarro Lucas will become WOLP and live until at least her 118th birthday. I predict she has the potential to make it to 119, 120 and possibly 121.

I predict that Juan Vicente Pérez Mora will live to see his 117th birthday in 2026, and enter the Top 10 Oldest Validated People Ever, but unfortunately he will not become WOLP, as he will be overshadowed by Inah Canabarro Lucas.

I predict that Anisio Rodrigues Alves, Horacio Celi Mendoza, and Tomas Pinales will all become validated, and Pinales will hold the record of WOLM till his death on 24 September 2020.

I predict that new information will come out supporting João Da Missanga's age, and he will live to the age of 116, passing away in 2024. He will hold the title of WOLM from Pinales's death on 24 September 2020 till his own death after 13 March, 2024. Unfortunately, his validation will come through in late 2024 or early 2025 and he won't live to see himself he validated, but his family will be very proud.

In late 2024 or early 2025, with the validation of João Da Missanga, Juan Vicente Pérez Mora's time as WOLM will be dramatically shortened, but he will still hold the title for around a year, becoming WOLM at age 115 rather than 112 and becoming the first man to make it to his 117th birthday.

No men from 1910 will succeed Juan Vicente Pérez Mora as WOLM, as the next oldest living man will be Gisaburo Sonobe who will gain the title either late in his 114th year or early into his 115th year. I predict that Sonobe will live to see late in his 115th year and possibly even 116 or 117. He will also be the last man from 1911.

The last living person from the 1900s will be Inah Canabarro Lucas, but the last living person from 1909 will be Juan Vicente Pérez Mora.

I see that one of my predictions from 23 August, has come true. With the sad passing of Reuben Sinclair, this makes Gisaburo Sonobe the last validated man from 1911, as Francis Zouein, Sebastian Catalan, Abilio Borges Moreira, and Josias de Oliveira are unvalidated. May you Rest In Peace, War hero Reuben Sinclair (1911-2023)

Here are my opinions on all of the oldest people that I can’t say on 110 club:

Maria Branyas Morera: Doing quite well for almost 116 and a half. Has obviously declined in the past few years, probably a bit over the course of this year but at a fairly slow, steady rate. I think she has a decent chance at making 117 but 117.5 or 118 is less likely. She appears to be still alert and could “stand a bit” on her 116th according to LQ article

Fusa Tatsumi: Could have another two or three years left in her, or another two or three days. Who knows with this one. Declined fast at 110-113 but in stable condition since then. There may be new photos soon with the Japanese old people holiday. She looks cute hugging Pikachu

Edie Ceccarelli: Has arguably declined more than Morera. Has dementia, no longer walking or drinking wine. Not much updates since February though but there are videos of her at 114 where she can have a conversation but her voice is very raspy and it’s obvious her memory is fading. It’d be hard to say whether she’ll make 116 at this point but in 50-ish days she beats Ford and becomes oldest American born in 1900s

Tomiko Itooka: Has also declined a lot since 110 when she had some brain haemorrhage. She’s seemed to grow increasingly depressed over the past few years. Still has quite gray hair and looks fairly strong even at 115. Decent chance at making 116

Inah Canabarro Lucas: It’s basically been unanimously decided she’s the best case of 1908. Probably true. I think there’s an interview with her sometime in the last couple years where she speaks very well. I think all the “I predict she will make 118-119” seems like a bit too much, but she could easily make 116, probably more likely than Itooka at this point

Juan Vicente Perez Mora: Oldest validated man since Kimura. Similarly to Fusa has been in stable condition for several years, and obviously in a better condition as well. Could make 115 or higher but also could drop dead any second. I hope for the first one. Hopefully we don’t see a decline in his health

Elizabeth Francis: Was doing much better than I would have expected on her 114th. She is in bed in all the news articles but she does supposedly spend a lot of time in a wheelchair which is good. According to Ben Meyers is still fully “there” mentally. She could potentially live another year (or maybe more?), which she in fact says she plans on doing in a certain recent article

Ethel Caterham: Has always been quite strong physically, but also has declined a bit. She might be able to stand because every photo of her is in an armchair but who knows. There’s no interviews with her I’ve seen. Hopefully she becomes the oldest “Ethel” ever in a few months and also oldest Brit in the 21st century. Maybe she could do 115, who knows

Okagi Hayashi: Has declined fairly slowly in the past few years. Is smiling in every photo which is a good sign although she looked a tiny bit worse last year. We’ll see how she’s doing next week assuming she gets to her birthday. Probably the most likely case to become last Japanese born in 1900s decade

Pearl Berg: Has been on oxygen regularly since at least February, spends most of her time in bed. Still she’s not doing that bad. Hopefully new updates come in October (she shares a birthday with Jimmy Carter, we’ll see if either of them make it). Within the next week she will beat Kristal and Goldie Michelson and become the 3rd oldest Jew

Just curious. What are your thoughts on Unvalidated Supercentenarians or Supercentenarians not in the top 10? I'd like to hear your predictions on João Da Missanga, Batuli Lamichhane, Elias Chavez Alvarez, Santos Cruz Flores, Maria Rita Pereira, Isabel Camacho Quiros, Reuben Sinclair...

You're right. He's not. BUT, members of the grg and las consider him plausible. He's not pending, but he has mid life and late life documentation. They are currently investigating his case. He has less than a "pending" status because there's no early life documentation for him, and they are still trying to find pieces of the puzzle to rule his case, but he is plausible. I included him anyway, because I think he's a true case, but that's just my opinion.
