Coming home today I think I cried more than when my old feller past away 2 months ago. ..... he was a footballer and quiz show host from a different age. Let's face it could you see David Beckham bothering his Adidas sponsored derrier to appear on some quaint little BBC Manchester quiz show when he could be endorsing Mobile phones, shavers, sunglasses etc, etc. Emlyn and most from his era (sorry Besty) was never found a) unconcious at a niteclub 2 days before a game, accused of gang bang rape, c) sniffing coke. So football players of that age weren't held in the general low esteem (by supporters) that they are today. Yasser Arafat was looking a trifle peeky the other day - I'm no expert but .......

A great sportsman passed away today and a lovely individual. For those of you who support other football clubs, I'm sure you all have an individual who at one time in your life epitimised what it was to follow 11 men around from city to city while they wellied a football up and down the park. Emlyn was that man for me. Not the best footballer to wear either the red of Liverpool or the white of England, but no better smile to lift a trophy. Rest in peace Crazy Horse.A true gent.
