Happy birthday That! One of those members you remember immediately, even though they don't post much. A bit like eejit. -
Read Any Good Books Lately?

Don't misunderstand me, I found them riveting, and I also quite enjoyed The Business. I'm just not going to read them again in a hurry. -

Disturbing stuff, Mr Banks' work. Canal Dreams and A Song of Stone are two books I shan't be re-reading any time soon. -
Aye, that would do the trick.

Handrejka And Magic Wanderer's Modem: Rip

It's Thursday here. -
We do try to be non-judgemental at the HDP. However, the decision to allow those fellows, particularly in combination with the Crimes Against Humanity Bonus, was probably an ill-considered one. Still all's fair, and the bonus for the most interesting and unusual selections also hasn't been awarded, to name but one of the arbitrary and unpredictable events which may occur in the course of the competition.

Where the blazes did this topic come from? I'm sure I've never seen it before.

The only time I have ever been to Fraserburgh was as a tourist. It wasn't that bad. I can recommend the Lighthouse Museum.

Attempting to summit Everest, dressed in shorts and a T-shirt would be an awesome undertaking. Doing repetitive code (rather slowly) on a website hardly qualifies as awesome, boresome, yes. Yeah, but you climb mountains a step at a time. For all the fuss people make Everest these days is an endurance more than a climbing challenge. The DDP will become a massive resource of potted information on potential death. Repetitive code or not, I wouldn't want to be giving over so many hours to the work but I'm glad someone is. I don't envy those buggers. I hope there are plenty of them working on it. I'm down to the last 20 names on the HDP and am pretty much burned out. Perhaps I'll offer some bonus points for the best short biogs of Bush and Blair from HDP participants.

I've changed my mind. I'm not going to delete anything from this thread. It can stand here as an example how of badly it is possible to behave on a forum. At least until someone else deletes it. I'm sorry I didn't understand the private joke, but frankly I can't differentiate between it and the rest of Star Crossed's tedious cantankerous rantings. Star Crossed, I have it somewhere in the back of my mind that you are a schoolteacher. Do your students have an affectionate nickname for you, or as I suspect, an uncomplimentary one?

He must certainly never be allowed to reach voting age. Or are blithering idiots denied the vote in Mrrrca anyway? Didn't think so. -
... the John Goodman character, Walter Sobchak, in The Big Lebowski[/url], one of my all-time favourite films. Godot, stay out of this. You're out of your element, you've got no frame of reference, etc. Sobchak; one of the greatest ranters in cinema. This thread is about Sir Patrick Moore. Anyone not armed with relevant comments needs to back the f**k up and get out of here. It's about drawing a line in the sand, dude, over which the whores shall not cross. Now, can someone please delete this and the previous 3 posts, and get this F*****g thread back on-topic? To get back on topic, I may very well delete some of this thread tomorrow or the next day, but not before pointing out to Star Crossed that as usual, he is behaving like a complete dick.

That girl on the right looks pretty dangerous.

I see Lila Prentice has died. That gets me my "any one" bonus, I think. My condolences to her relatives.

Sad news indeed.

I'm fairly certain his successor will be called the Ayatollah Khumenei.

Funny that. We have an Anubis here too. Could they be related?

Hi SM! Good to have you on board. Give my regards to Mattd007 if you see him. And Barry Manilow of course.

Here's the final scoreboard. It got a final revision today because Mandy Mitchell-Innes died on the 28th of December. Glad you like the new avatar, by the way, Mr. Godot. Did Mandy Mitchell-Innes get a national UK obit? Do birds have beaks?

Would somebody mind explaining this to me in words of one syllable or less?

Everyone who has entered should have got a confirmation of sorts by now. Those who selected Gerald Ford can replace him. Just drop me a line saying who the replacement should be, and in which position on the list he/she should go.

Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries Etc...2006
Tuber Mirum posted a topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Welcome to the new deathlist Happy Birthday thread! Please go to the last page to see who's birthday it is. Josco's birthday is the 18th of August. Notapotato[/b] on March 24th 2006] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps best known for his famous "little man" avatar, popular Deathlist poster "Sir " Josco celebrates a round-numbered birthday today. Those users who have been here long enough to remember enjoying Josco's seemingly endless supply of witty remarks and amusing drinking anecdotes may want to join me in wishing him a happy birthday and expressing our hope that he will soon, once more, retake his rightful position as a prolific tosser on a highly-appreciative Deathlist. Have a pint of gin on me, Josco
