There is no anagram of Notapotato. It is a prime number among words.

Shirley Temple was quite ill a few years ago. I think she's all right at the moment, though.
-
I've got the same problem. Can you get into the '2005 Names' forum? If I click in the link in Oates' original post, it works. But not in any of the quotes.
-
The Heaven Can Wait I know signs his name very differently.
-
Is he the chap who used to be on Celebrity Squares a lot?
-
Dangerous buggers those scalar weapons, obviously.
-
He was on the List in '94 and '96. I'm sure the authorities are monitoring his condition closely for a possible re-inclusion.
-
Jeremy Thorpe. Don't ask why.

Gunjaman, Bruno is winding you up. He has constructed an ingeniously cynical caricature of the archetypal right-wing American, and is using it to raise your blood pressure for his own perverse amusement. He's very good at it though, isn't he?
-
Make that 700,000 times. A search for Paul McCartney on Google brings up more than 3,000,000 results. I searched the first 1,000 but couldn't find us.

Are more likely to be pixies if they are wearing boots. Finally a subject I feel confident posting about.

Doing a good job of displaying my ignorance today. I suppose a fat person with a scythe would be 78 anyway.
-
It's a fat person with a scythe, isn't it?
-
The way to do it would be to click on this link, then on the Deathlist link which comes up on the results page. Then come back here, and do it again. About 70,000 times.

Are you saying that A I have in College Algebra is meaningless? No, I am saying I'm useless at algebra and should keep my gob shut on the subject. Ask me about something I understand. Like... er...er...um......
-
Right enough is wrong isn't it? that would be 2(a²). Probably. It has been a few years. Bruno's answer is correct, as his answers always are. Anyway, 1 doesn't equal 2. And that is about as much dogma as you will get out of me today.
-
Oh well, forget it then. On second thoughts, I want a second opinion before I eat humble pie. Mrs N. says I am right.
-
I am bloody useless at algebra, but I'm pretty sure 2a² - 2ab cannot be written as 2(a² - ab). 2a² is the square of twice a, whilst the other one takes a² (minus ab) and doubles it. Or a meringue?

If you mean he stuck it in a box with an on/off switch and the word "Marconi" emblazoned on it, then I suppose you are right.

One of the main reasons for all that ranting back then was the fact that a Google search for "Emlyn Hughes" brought up Deathlist as the first result. (Even now it is No. 4) Going through a few likelies on the list I see at the Moment we have: Gretchen Franklin: No 1 result Peter O'Sullevan: No. 4 result Ronnie Biggs: No. 8 result Claire Rayner: No. 9 result (Clive Dunn comes up as the 7th result but isn't on this year's list) Kurt Waldheim brings us up as result No. 23. Not on the first page but should gaurantee a few angry Germans when his time comes. So what we need is someone much-loved who is not mentioned much anywhere else on the internet so it's easy for their Deathlist entry to get on the first page.

I suppose belief in a god/God implies belief in an afterlife, though not necessarily vice versa. I voted Jedi Knight because that is the nearest option to my suspicion that there is some kind of force regulating the universe, though not necessarily a sentient one. I think we should restart the poll with some better options distinguishing a bit more clearly between the "God" and "afterlife" side of things.

It's never a bad idea to turn off your computer before "bumping bellies with Nasty Nell"
-
I see it is an electronic vote, so I predict George W. Bush will win with a 130% share of the vote.

Tesla was the guy who invented radio. And the AC electric motor. And the Cheddite Projector. And polyphase AC. Didn't get any recognition for it though, and even today his achievements are suppressed by the Edison and Marconi companies which donate so much money to the Smithsonian and other such learned bodies. This chap up in Michigan seems to have a bit of a bee in his bonnet about the whole thing. Sounds like he was also a dangerous madman if there is any truth in those sites of The Yeti's.
