Things to do while waiting for Death ... 2005
Tuber Mirum replied to The Yeti's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I'd heard before that it was possible to do that. I didn't think it would be possible with my iMac keyboard (the same as the one pictured in that article), though. It has a built in USB hub among other electronics. Live and learn. -
Mr Whitehouse (I'm sure I know that name from somewhere not too far off), Overuse of commas in inappropriate places is my department. I'm not sure there's room for two of us. Find yourself a different trademark please!

Ritual humiliation would be the proper thing. Stripped down to his Damart, electrodes on the nipples, bibles down the toilet. Interview with Robin Day. That kind of stuff.
-
I'll hold you to that. What is the local brew round your way? Mine's a pint if you're wrong. (Assuming you don't live in Dennistuon, Glasgow)

I voted no, because he is too much of a coward to go anywhere even slightly dangerous, and anywhere at all without an army of security and a 10 mile exclusion zone for people who aren't in his club. Would be nice though.

Pour quoi? Par ce que, mon petit ami anglais, les proprieteurs de Walmart are a bunch of unscrupulous, anti social psychopaths. Allegedly. If I cared a hoot about the US economy, I would also mention the huge amount of damage they do to that. Allegedly.

The English Language

Yes indeed, a living language with many influences and sources. Not a reason to bastardise it to death simply because of being too lazy or stupid to learn it properly. The language of Shakespeare, Milton and the Bible. Treat it with some respect, you buggers. I did but prompt the age to quit their cloggs By the known rules of antient libertie, When strait a barbarous noise environs me Of Owles and Cuckoes, Asses, Apes and Doggs. As when those Hinds that were transform'd to Froggs Raild at Latona's twin-born progenie Which after held the Sun and Moon in fee. But this is got by casting Pearl to Hoggs; That bawle for freedom in their senceless mood, And still revolt when truth would set them free. Licence they mean when they cry libertie; For who loves that, must first be wise and good; But from that mark how far they roave we see For all this wast of wealth, and loss of blood. -
Interview with Carol on the BBC. Pretty good quality. If you open it in a stand-alone player, you can make it quite big.

The best we could get at such short notice, and for the money, I'm afraid.

Hmmm... 63 guests online. A Google for "Richard Whiteley death" brings up guess what as number one result. I wonder if we are in for another Emlyn experience sometime tomorrow morning?

Welcome to Deathlist Widnes14! It's fine to have some young blood about the place. Have you read the Ranting Rules yet? And by the way, the search box doesn't work so if you want to check if there is already a thread on someone before starting a new one you have to click on the little magnifying glass on the top right. (PS: Mr. Yeti, your excellent link to a page with advice for inexperienced posters no longer works.)

He went the way of LPIII. Or so the story goes. Let us hope for the sake of decency, and for the gene pool, that the same is not true of young Weatherman. Shame about the other two. We need all the quality posters we can get.

You mean that occasion when the chap got beheaded by a fire extinguisher or something? South Africa wasn't it?

Porter has her own thread already, I believe. Which is now merged - DWB

Raabe has his own thread already, I believe. Threads now merged - DWB

Tuber Mirum replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It is a little-known fact that Nick Heidfeld and former F1 driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen both come from the same small town in W. Germany. Coincidentally the same town where Joseph Goebbels was born and where I happen to live. If either were to kick the bucket, chances are the Frentzen family firm would be doing the honours. (I linked to the Google translation for those who don't know German yet, and for enhanced comedic value)
