The British Empire brought civilization to the rest of the planet! What's wrong with slavery? The Bible supports it! Does the bible support slavery??? I thought the whole point of the Bible (well Old Testament) is about the Jews escaping from slavery, would have been a much shorter book had they been happy in their bondage lmao The Bible also teaches tolerance of others, hmmm.....

What If They Died 3 Years Ago But We Only Just Found Out Now?
Olveres posted a topic in DeathList Forum
Apologies if this question has been asked before but how do the rules relate to someone like Bin Laden who for all intents and purposes may have been killed say in 2005, but who makes it appear he is still alive in 2007. If it came to light he died in 2005 and was confirmed to be 100% true, is it put down that he died in 05 or 07, because for all intents and purposes as we begin 2007 we have to assume he is alive.... my head hurts, I hope that made sense??? -
He'd become my FIRST EVER DDP hit, so come on Pete, time for that eternal early bath

Over an hour and no ranters? This thread looks like a winner. It could run for quite a while. Looking at the reports, it doesn't look very favourable for them. The ranters may be found here... http://www.anorak.co.uk/madeleine-mccann/176302.html

I think you'll find Clive Dunn is the protected one!

I don't recall any statues in the UK in honour of George Washington, in the same way they haven't had one stuck in front of the Arc De Triomphe for Ho Chi Minh It said on the news that Mandela's statue was near to a statue of Abraham Lincoln. How does it come to pass that Lincoln gets a statue but Washington didn't? Must be racial awareness corner or something. Lincoln ended slavery shame nobody told the South!!!!

I think it has more to do with the fact that he went from being a political prisoner, to ruling his own country for the millions of blacks who were given the right to vote in their own country. Interesting to see a former terrorist having a statue erected in London, when will the Americans create one for old Osama? Who's next on the lets honour anyone list, Che Guevara anyone? Maybe they'll name a street after Martin McGuinness in Eniskillen or Omagh?

ermm.... he died today of pancreatic cancer..he should of been on the deathlist 2007 because pancreatic cancer would kill people because it is a deadly cancer The old argument returns I see.

But did he? Hmmm I may speculate on him for 2008 then on the DDP!

This needs moving to the Clive Dunn thread.

The IMMORTAL Clive Dunn is leading? Note "IMMORTAL".

Well, actually it also was intended to be deaths that if you heard about it, you'd go, "whoa!". For example, a top 10 (using 20th century onwards as an arbitrary cut-off point) might look something like: 1. JFK 2. Diana 3. Anwar Sadat 4. Martin Luther King 5. John Lennon 6. Robert Kennedy 7. Kurt Cobain 8. Yitzhak Rabin 9. Benito Mussolini 10. Ayrton Senna Martin Luther King, yet no Malcolm X?

Hopefully all of them.

When I saw this, I first thought of Lock Martin aka Gort from The Day the Earth Stood Still. I suppose it depends on your definition of "leading actor." I always thought of a leading actor as someone major in a piece, not necessarily as the protagonist. Either way, Martin probably doesn't qualify... but I'm sure that the sky isn't 6'5". By the way OoO, Jimmy Stewart was only 6'3", but I agree, he seemed taller. Bruce Spence, played the lead role in 'Stork', he is 6' 7" tall. (And he was in the aforementioned Mad Max 3) Best known as "Jaws" in the James Bond films, Richard Kiel (7' 2") wrote and starred in 'The Giant of Thunder Mountain' he is the tallest ever actor to have played a leading role. (Kiel looks awful in his Wiki photo, giants aren't renowned for living to a great age - I'll be keeping an eye on him) Neither of them have starred in any trilogies so far as I know. I was thinking possibly Arnold Schwarzenegger? He was in Terminator 1,2 and 3 and weren't there 3 'Predator' or 'Conan The Barbarian' films? I'm not sure there were 3 Conan films but didn't he pop up in Red Sonia (sic?) which was the female spin off of Conan?

I think I'd invite Richard Harris Lee Marvin Oliver Reed Peter O'Toole Genghis Khan Tamerlaine Vlad The Impaler Hunter S. Thompson Tim Leary Terence McKenna About 15 of Hugh Heffners greatest ever playmates. Better invite Hugh along too then I'd consider inviting Iain/ dave, simply so Vlad might impale him
