And I suppose all women should be chained to the sink, barefoot and pregnant. What a quaint view of life you have. Hardly. They should know their rightful place in society that's all and that's NOT being leaders!

    The Bible

I wouldn't be too sure of that. Yes I suspect there will be a good deal of cheering going on but she was the UK's first female PM and the only one with any balls to take on the unions. Discussions have already taken place about whether she will get a state funeral and the Brits being the Brits will suffer from short memory syndrome and turn out to mourn her in droves. No one likes it. No one likes feminazis. As a female, it was an embarrasment to the country as "leader". It brings the office of PM intro disrepute to have a female occupy it. No one wants to pay for this sick bitches funeral. I am sure it is not short of a bob or two, let the white trash pay for its own funeral. No one likes an extremist and no one but a fascist wants it to have a state funeral. It is a raper of British history and that's what people will be mourning, its reign of terror and Britain's decreased standing in the world thanks to its gross mismanagement and certainly not IT. BTW, did I mention I HATE the good for nothing gender identity confused bitch? You have a very 1580's view of women for a 1980's computer game... I take my views from the Bible. The Bible says it is a shame for a woman to have authority over a man and I quite agree for Thatcher's misrule was a great shame to the Nation. Xenon II: Mega Blast is the coolest computer game from 1989! Fantastic graphics way ahead of their time, marvellous sound and the Amiga version is the BEST (the PC version SUCKS!). Xenon II is a member of a very select club, being one of the few games that started life out on home computers and was then ported to arcades, it was that good (Lemmings and Zool are a couple of others)! Xenon II is one of the best shootemups ever, and was the best until the realise of Raiden II in the arcades several years later.

    Margaret Thatcher

I've emigrated to the colonies (Australia) so I will be immune from having to pay. Prime Minister is a man's job, that's what is wrong with it. I think she thought she WAS a man. The Falklands were fun, but really she should have defended them better to begin with.

I've never heard of this "Tammy Faye" woman, or even her husband actually, so she can't be that famous!

    General Pinochet

Yeah, feel for the "victims" who were nothing less than domestic terrorists and enemies of the state. Good riddance! (To them not the General). Now what has happened now Chile has democracy? A feminazi leftist is in charge. Good grief!

    General Pinochet

Oh about a tenth of what Castro's managed, or at least that Castro's murdered that we know about. I don't know why people get so worked up about Pinochet - it was only Communists he killed after all. Exactly! Communists deserve no sympathy. They are a cancer on humanity. It was utterly despicable how he was hounded by leftists during the last few years of his life. So effectively what you're saying is that political murders are totally acceptable, providing it's the "good guys" doing the killing? I'm pretty sure the General didn't personally kill anyone.

    Margaret Thatcher

Can't they just dump her corpse in a defunct mine shaft and be done with it? regards, Hein Sounds about right to me. Thatcher, a feminazi and a whore, raped what was left of the Empire, stole our milk and deserves to face justice. The General on the other hand, deserved a state funeral. He made a positive and essential contribution to his country for which anyone but a dirty commie would be eternally grateful. It's only 'coz there is now a feminazi socialist BITCH in power he didn't get one. It is an outrage and a disgrace.

    Titanic Survivors

You know Godot, seeing that clip not only got me excited for another Leo DiCaprio movie, but also got me to wondering the same as you - are there any people who sailed on the Titanic who are alive to this day? It seems so unlikely that there could be, but if by some miracle there were to be one (or even two) survivors, I think we should include them on the 2007 list, because surviving the Titanic disaster has to be the most famous achievement in the history of the World. It was only 1912 it happened, not even 100 years ago. I think we should wait until there is just 1 remaining survivor and then include them on the list. That could be difficult if they were both to die in the same year. Yeah.. but seriously, I don't really think they are famous enough anyways to be included, especially seeing as they can't even remember it. The last American and one with memories of the event dying was quite significant.

    Titanic Survivors

There were 3 survivors up unto recently and the last remaining survivor that could recall the events of that tragic day is now dead, from Wikipedia: On May 6, 2006, the last American survivor and the last survivor to have memories of Titanic's sinking, Lillian Gertrud Asplund, died at her home in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Asplund, who was just 5 years old at the time, lost her father and three brothers (including her fraternal twin) in the tragedy. Her mother Selma Asplund and brother Felix, then three, survived. Selma Asplund had died on the anniversary of the sinking in 1964. At the time of Lillian Asplund's death, survivors Barbara West Dainton of Truro, England, ten months old at the time of the sinking, and Millvina Dean of Southampton, England, who was two months old, were still living, but were too young to have memories of the catastrophe. Therefore, with the death of Lillian Gertrude Asplund, firsthand passenger experience of the Titanic's sinking has passed out of living memory.

Noooooooooo. This question has been asked too many times in this thread. No to there's none still alive or no as in frustration in people keep asking? I'm pretty certain there is still 2 still alive. I'm sure that's what Wikipedia says...

    The Bible

Surely that's the normal method for dispute resolution in Texas. I think you got it in one CarolAnn. There is much chain yanking here. Xenon II reminds me a little of Bennet Cerf - a character creation, nicely put together. The concentration on the one thread is the giveaway. It reminds me of that other one-thread-wonder, Lady Clarrisa. I've posted in other threads too just this is the most topical one at the moment, being a fan of Mr Pinochet and in mourning of his passing.

    Titanic Survivors

No that's not true! There are still two survivors, both are women and the youngest of them was the youngest person on the titanic to survive the disaster and possibly the youngest aboard to. # Barbara J. West: Born c. 1908, age on Titanic 3 1/2 years old. Second-Class, Lifeboat #10, age now 93. Residence: England. Eliza Gladys Milvina Dean Born 2-2-1912, age on Titanic 10 weeks old. Third-Class, Lifeboat #C, age now 89. still alive as of Dec 2006 (copied info from above)

    The Bible

... Implying that you believe that the Christian Bible is not fiction and therefore literal fact. Uhm, which version of the Bible would that be? Or are all the different ones equally as factual as each other? King James Version of course. I believe all more modern versions are corrupted, especially the New International (Per)Version. Mr Xenon, sir, do you, by chance, have a Joe Longthorne tattoo in your armpit? No tattoos are the mark of the devil and isn't he a "gay"? Homosexuality is an abomination!

The island could not have existed without support from the mainland. As for the other two, they too are unsustainable in the long run. The Falkland Islands are a massive drain on British taxpayers' money. It's a shame we didn't negotiate them away before the Argentinians invaded. Gibralter is an anachronism, rather like Northern Ireland. Regards, Godot, socialist and proud of it. The Falkland Islands weren't British territory to begin with just like Hong Kong wasn't. We stole the Falklands from the Argentinians 200 years ago. That's actually not true. Argentina was squatting in the islands but Britain had already claimed them and occupied them previously and had not renounced their claim. 200 years ago we took them back just like we did 25 years ago. They are British and those Argentine pigs won't be getting another chance to occupy them. As for Hong Kong, part of that was ceded to Britain in 1842 under the treaty of Nanjiung. Ceded means you get to keep and the former power no longer has any claim to it. It was also uninhabitated when Britain took over and Britain transformed it into a thriving capitalist metropolis paradise. Of course when you've got a commie loving maniac tramp in control that all changes. Thatcher murdered the empire and she deserves to face justice. She is evil scum and women have no business being in government let alone being leaders. It is abomination.

Or are all the different ones equally as factual as each other? King James Version of course. I believe all more modern versions are corrupted, especially the New International (Per)Version. So, the version put together hundreds and hundreds of years after the original two-volume tome, translated from Hebrew and whatever else, into Latin, into English is really the literal word of God. The earlier ones were fiction (as opposed to fact) which somehow transmogrified into the one-and-only true word of God as he originally intended. Yeah, right. The translation is accurate. It's just the original in English.

    The Bible

It's a Good Thing you don't claim that the bible is God's word. If you did it would, combined with the above, be a strong argument against both God and the bible. My main objection to Xianity is its claim that it's based on the Bible. My main objection to the Bible is what is says. That the Bible condones slavery is far from the worst bit. regards, Hein The Bible is God's word whereas the Kuran is 300 pages of pure satanic fiction.

Gibralter is an anachronism, rather like Northern Ireland. Regards, Godot, socialist and proud of it. Utter bile sir. The mainland is the island of Great Britian not commie China! The other two, likewise are sustainable indefintely. The Falkland Islands are NOT a massive drain on British taxpayers money. Britain used to have a MUCH bigger empire than it does now and it coped just fine! Britain is one of the richest countries in the world and can easily afford it. Besides, the Falkland Islands are British not Argentine. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, just like England is. It is a model for the rest of the island of Ireland. It shows those in the south you don't have to be Irish and be independent from the rest of the British Isles and hopefully the rest of the island of Ireland will rejoin it in a new United Kingdom sometime in the future. How wonderful that would be! Irish nationalism has been a plague and a curse and must be defeated once and for all. Ulster is British and that's how a large majority of its inhabitants want it to stay. You couldn't get much more British than Gibraltar! I fully expect when those evil murdering socialists are finally kicked out the Conservative party/BNP will integrate it fully into the UK which is well over due. It should be part of the United Kingdom as should all overseas territories. That would get the Halibut loving UN off our backs when it comes to decolonization. They don't have much of a case anyway as continued British presence relies on self determination of the inhabitants, the colonies have self rule and they are British citizens.

    The Bible

The British Empire brought civilization to the rest of the planet! What's wrong with slavery? The Bible supports it! The bible in some part accepts slavery because it was normal at the time. I don't think at any point is says slavery is great, we should keep it. Not that much of the bible, old testament particuly is a great moral authority. The Bible is forever and God's word never changes! The Bible doesn't make slavery compulsory, it just gives it the seal of approval for those that wish to practice it. It completely accepts it and goes to some length to detail how slaves should be treated. Opposition to slavery is un-Christian.
