Risen From The Grave (Or The Ashes)
Death Watch Beatle replied to Death Watch Beatle's topic in DeathList Forum
Mozart I know he hasn't been a contender for the DL for a couple of centuries now, but this news article amuses me, and I thought I would share it with you all. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/arts/3612726.stm It tickles me to think how he might of sworn. The following is probably translated from ye olde germanic: "You have played a bum note sir, YOU CAD!" or "Conductor, the 2nd violin is a no-good bounder and a scoundrel to boot!" Could any language scholars amongst us, enlighten me as to the calibre of profanities Mozart may have uttered? DWB -
It has occurred to me that a good place to be looking for younger coffin fillers is in the World's Strongest Man competition. This year Poland's Mariusz Pudzianowski retained his title by once again beating Lithuania's Zydrunas Savickas in Zambia. Now, I may be mistaken, but I can remember at least 2 instances of past competitors dropping dead - I haven't actually got the names to hand but my memory is of an enormous American carking it shortly after the show, and the programme being dedicated to his memory. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on this point. Anyway these blokes are definately cardiac candidates. Don't say I didn't warn you! DWB

The 2 spam filters either side of my nose didn't pick up on that. Must get them overhauled. DWB

Thanks for those well-thought out words Will. Normally, similar postings would be measured on the 'Drive-By Rantometer', but I don't think you actually qualify, because it wasn't really a rant, just a sentence, and it had punctuation, grammar, capitals, everything a sentence needs really, so no score for you Will. However on the pointless postings scale you scored a 10. Well done! DWB

Straying a tad off topic (is my understanding that a tad might be a Sci-Fi term correct?) Picard has been having problems with vessels other than the Enterprise. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/3608892.stm DWB

Chris Moyles on Radio 1 - Yesterday
Death Watch Beatle replied to Stayin Alive's topic in DeathList Forum
Did someone mention the Daily Mail? Moyles may not have liked what he saw if he had found the DL. In the World's Strongest Man thread, I had Moyles down to fight Halo the Hopeful (remember him?) in a "to the death" guts-crushing match, but he never turned-up. I think the DL's 15 minutes of fame may just have passed it by! DWB -
. . . and Rude Kid is only 8! Although he writes older than his years. I know it's stating the obvious with the avatars, but I found it quite disturbing when a record made me think of the DL. DWB

I went to the Bressingham Steam Museum in Norfolk (I think) and it has a shrine to Dad's Army: a mocked-up street with Jones the Butcher, the bank etc in it (van included) and also a recreation of the village hall HQ and Mainwaring's office. A lot of episodes were filmed in that area (Thetford and there abouts). I don't know why I just told you this, but there you have it! DWB

It's been a while, but he's back . . . http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/3573366.stm I wonder if he can beat Courtney's record of having 3 court cases going at once? DWB

I'm obviously getting old - what does that 2 fingered, 1 thumbed salute mean? DWB

I am at ease with my shopping habits, although my usual haunt is the Watford branch. I am more than happy to discuss the merits of Costco with anyone willing to listen. By the way, my theory on why Brucie, with all his millions, shops at Costco is by being thrifty, he stays rich! Oh ... and by presenting Earl Gloomy's favourite dancing show on the beeb of course! DWB

For those who are interested. Bruce was shopping at Costco in Reading yesterday. He looked really well and his wife is very nice. He is not at all up-his-own-arse, quite happy to chat, and most importantly - looked in really good health. Didn't he do well! DWB

Following on from RK's observations, the story of Ronnie's failing health seems to have cropped-up all over the news the last few days. Do you think it has anything to do with the date: August 8th? Mean anything to anyone? http://news.scotsman.com/uk.cfm?id=916302004 DWB

I don't think I have ever looked at a whole page of names on the forum and seen one contributors name on the whole lot. I think only by virtue that Four Donkeys didn't realise there were another page and a half of names did we avoid a full-house. - Ooops, that's given the game away! - DWB

Exciting news - I think we may have taken the lead in the DDP thanks to Fay Wray. Also very interesting is the fact that on the London local TV News tonight was a ten minute piece on whether we should release Ronnie Biggs from stir in order to die at home. This could be an unbeatable trump card for the DL team, being the joker an' all. DWB

Agreed! http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...7-2004Aug9.html No more monkey business! All further comments should be posted on the other forum at this address: http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=435 DWB

I saw a photo of Princess Alice in one of the OK / Hello mags this week (don't ask!) and she actually looks pretty good - although I don't fancy yours much! DWB

Beatles About . . . to saw his wife's head off with an effective but old-fashioned saw. I believe the series was cancelled after the first episode! DWB

A week or two ago, we lost an apple tree in one of the big storms we've had around London recently. The following day, muggins has to go and dismember offending item in order for it to fit in the car for a trip to dump. Having to hand a Black and Decker POS electric powered chainsaw, I set to my task, only to find that the chain destroyed itself on the first impact with the stump! Therefore my I recommend the use of a hand-driven rip saw, with teeth that would make a shark flinch, for the job of neighbour decapitation. It took my apple tree apart with little effort on my part. However, it does not look anywhere near so cool ... DWB
