Congrats. to FF - well done! Curses to Gravediggers - all I needed was 1 goal and the title would have been mine! Next season is looking to be bare-bones with only 6 teams looking likely to start. We can play 2 games a week but remember the season will be over in just over a month with no opportunity to play at least 1 cup. This whole affair is so, so England. I love my football but my enthusiasm for the national team is no better than that of the players that represent us. I felt I had wasted two hours of my life watching that dross tonight. I have no doubt we will qualify but will make no friends in doing so. DWB

OK, let's have a go at this: Germany 3 Serbia 0 - the Germans are the only team that have actually played with this bloody football on a regular basis, so another big win for them - cheating gits! Slovenia 0 USA 2 - the USA can smell English blood - they will go on to win the group thus throwing the English the the German lions in the next round. England 1 Algeria 1 - the 2nd of my predicted crap and boring draws thus leaving England to win the last game with a winning goal at the death and a 2nd place slot in the group. DWB

Doubt it, as he's not even in the squad... He probably would have made a better fist of that Dempsey shot than Robert Green... Leighton Rees would probably have done better... Unfortunately, if Green has made his last appearance for England this World Cup, the alternatives are not too great either. A lot of media coverage was given to which 'keeper would be selected first, and the only reason for this being a hot subject was that we really don't have any outstanding goalies at the moment. It was always going to be our weakest link and it is a shame it has been exposed so early in the competition. My 2 draws and a crappy last-ditch win prediction is still looking good then. DWB
