    Gary Coleman

I was reading about the troubled life of Diff'rent Strokes co-star Dana Plato which ended in 1999 after an overdose. Her son, whom she lost to her husband at their divorce, topped himself a couple of weeks ago. The Diff'rent Stokes curse continues . . . DWB

Couldn't find a Duchess of York thread (please move if it does exist) so have posted here as next best: Sarah is at the "End of her tether". Strange things happen in the Royal Family. Sarah seeing herself off? DWB

Piss off. I didn't wish you well. I wanted to win the league. Not that I'm a bad loser or anything like that. . . . and I wasn't trying very hard. You would think it boring if I kept winning everything! DWB

    How very, VERY frustrating!

How very frustrating this prediction game can be. I go scouring the net for information on actors and the like who have illnesses - cancer, leukaemia, you name it, I look for it - and very little news comes to light. Then, blow me, if I don't just happen to look at the BBC web site news page and there is news of two actors dying yesterday. Admittedly I don't actually know of the gentlemen concerned, Russell Hunter, a Scottish(!) actor who has died of lung cancer at 79, and Carl Anderson, an American actor and singer who has fallen foul of Leukaemia, aged 58, but they were well know enough to be on the BBC news page, and I am sure they will both have obituaries in the broadsheets. These people have obviously been under the weather for some time, and obviously people such as those at BBC are aware of this - but nowhere can I find mention of them until it's too late (for them and us). Where am I going wrong, where should I be looking for this information? The truth is out there - but I just don't know where! Blimey . . . I feel a lot better now I've got that off my chest. DWB

    Chhouk Rin

......and there you were, DWB, complaining that your undercooked chicken had made you ill.... I suppose, if we look at this from another angle, he has shagged too much, drunk too much and done it all without a stout Mosquito net around his bed. Serves the bastard right, I say. PS: Feeling better Mr Beatle? Thank you for your best wishes - indeed the Beatle is Back! DWB

    Chhouk Rin

An update on Mr. Rin here. The interesting bit is: "A former Khmer Rouge commander jailed for the killings of three Western backpackers in 1994 is to seek a royal pardon on the grounds of ill health, local media reported Monday. "Chhouk Rin, who was jailed for life 10 years ago for his role in the killings, is reportedly suffering from AIDS, malaria and liver disease." DWB Edit: This smells a bit of Biggs!

Hearston and Knickers have now been withdrawn from the league as requested. Windsor, you can apply to the league for a now if you are still interested? - I have PMed you the details. If anybody else would like a team for the new season in the new year, drop me a line or post your intention here. It is very straight forward to play, takes up very little time and can be quite fun! Cheers DWB

God I was ill after getting home - and for all the wrong reasons! You had to be there to understand. Once again I had an excellent afternoon, and as said earlier, it was like meeting old mates - so well done Ali on the organisation - and the pen of course. Cheers everyone - I have to go back to bed now. DWB
