Another one from the wrestling world to watch is Jim Ross, who did an interview with AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland on Wednesday’s Dynamite and looked like Keith Richards warmed up. He’s lost an alarming amount of weight and looks very ill.

One possibly worth a watch on the wrestling front for next year is Jake Roberts, still doing conventions etc. but evidently on oxygen.

Hard on the heels of Sam Rubin shuffling off, long time KTLA weatherman Mark Kriski has suffered a “mild stroke”.

Good ol’ JR at the ER this morning…..

Also appeared on an Australian daytime show reporting on Hollywood stuff. He had apparently called in sick that morning, later calling in to a local radio station to wish a former colleague well on her retirement. Next thing is that KTLA are reporting his death a couple of hours later.

I thought that was Lanny Poffo, or could Virgil do that as well?

He lived to see Vince ousted from his own company.

The excellent Wrestling Heritage site is reporting that longtime British star Barry Douglas, a descendant of the DeRelwyskow wrestling family, has taken his final count.

NBC Chicago is reporting that Steve McMichael has been taken to hospital with pneumonia.

World of Sport mainstay Ian “Bully Boy/Bruiser” Muir has received his final disqualification.

What about Holmes himself? Looks to have aged disproportionately in the last year or so. Perhaps Ruthie’s trying to shag him to death?

There’s never been a report of pancreatic cancer previously: additionally, the usually reliable PWInsider.com doesn’t mention it in their report.

Given the number of wrestling-related deaths of late, what about Jerry Lawler for 2024? Turns 74 in November, was clinically dead for 20 minutes after a heart attack a number of years ago, suffered a stroke earlier in the year, recovery reportedly not going as well as hoped. Made a brief appearance at Raw in Memphis last week, walked out unaided (albeit only a few steps) but uncharacteristically, didn't say anything nor was he offered the opportunity to do so.

Being reported that Darren “Droz” Drozdov has taken the final count.

HTM is reportedly at the Hall of Fame ceremony tonight, haven’t seen him yet. Jerry Lawler appeared in a pre-recorded video, walked unaided and was speaking well.

And may well be outlived by Superstar Billy Graham.....

A Google for “Barrett Lunde” threw up a picture of him in prison orange from a few years ago. I’m guessing that he’s had some issues over the years. On a brighter note, Jerry Lawler is back home in Memphis.

Just seeing him, and he appears to have aged awfully in a short space of time. Maybe Ruthie:’s got a big insurance policy and is shagging him to death?

Being reported that his family have been told that there’s no way back from this.

I was reading something about this yesterday. Apparently some sort of long-term spinal issue which has flared up recently.

There's been some discussion on this over on the Wrestling Heritage site: one name that should be on the list here is "Super Destroyer" Pete Roberts who's believed to be around 82. Last Kent Reunion he attended, he looked little different from his wrestling days and indeed, looked like he could still manage a few rounds!
