Congratulations on your promotion, Lady G! In your honour, may I present the Lady Grendel Golden Avatar

It's the dollar bill isn't it and thus the pyramid/masonic/illuminati (delete as applicable) stuff Dan Brown was wittering on about so much that I've forgotten the precise details. I don't believe I've ever seen a real one! I understand they're quite collectable - but that it's quantity rather than quality that matters. Now what does that remind me of?

...errm Good morning, Mr Scream ! Coffee? Oh! You're awake at last! What does your avatar represent, BS? I much prefer yours to dave's. I wonder if you could offer some suggestions about choosing suitable DL avatars that dave could learn from?

    The Dead - 2007

I find it rather disturbing! Not sure if that's because of the blood and gore or because of the re-incarnation factor.

    Dave's Avatar (abbatoir, Aviator, Whatever)

In order to save time and worry on the part of curious DLers, I think I'd better explain! The changes turned out rather more subtle than I had originally intended so here's a detailed description of what happens. 0 seconds: cat's eyes: palest ----------- fish eye: deep red 3 seconds: cat's eyes: still pale -------- fish eye: deep orange/red 6 seconds: cat's eyes: brighter -------- fish eye: medium orange 9 seconds: cat's eyes: more intense -- fish eye: pale orange (distorted slightly in the download)(ed:now fixed - clear your cache to see the difference)) 12 seconds: cat's eyes: bright green - fish eye: yellow 15 seconds: cat's eyes: less bright ---- fish eye: pale orange (also distorted)(ed:fixed) 18 seconds: cat's eyes: less intense -- fish eye: medium orange 21 seconds: cat's eyes: paler ----------- fish eye: deep orange/red 24 seconds: as at 0 seconds and then the cycle repeats itself. The fish's eye is brightest when the cat's eyes are palest and vice versa. I think this makes it hard to focus on both changes at the same time but it's easier when you know what you're looking for. P.S. Don't forget the waving Jumblie!

    Dave's Avatar (abbatoir, Aviator, Whatever)

Dave might sometimes consider that his one depicts his life on DL : ...and it just happens that the lad with the fishing-rod is a very famous person named dave!

How about a neat little fun animation: (sized and ready to go...)

...........I don't consider myself under one party but more the less weighing and analyzing ideas from all sides. With that approach, have you considered moving to Switzerland? I can't think of anywhere else where you can 'pick and mix' in that way. And thus we are mostly made hypocrites when we vote!

Birthday greetings to TLC and football_fan! Very belatedly, I'm afraid, as life has been hectic this week. (Not sure why I thought that an appropriate picture, TLC - perhaps it sort of reminds me of your profile pic!)

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2007

I've got mine so don't need to, guess which one is me ( I don't think my profile pic will help!) I'll go for 2nd from the left in the middle row on the basis of an early interest in fashion and the colours worn, although the little girl right in front of her looks cheerful and chatty and could easily be an incipient Lady G! I never had any school photographs taken until I was protestingly included as a teacher and that one was conveniently lost. Oh, dearie me.... "You got 1 right! A zombie could have done better!"

Not at all Lady G. I also came up as Igor Stravinsky... ...but I wasn't going to admit it as I can't cope with the term 'neat freak'! It sounds like too much hard work destined to be wasted.

    The Dead - 2007

An eye-witness account of events leading to her demise, containing more details than most people would want to read, and some important questions about the use of fire alarms.

    Titanic Survivors

The lists are free to view for just one week but it would take me at least a week to work out how to configure my computer to view them. I signed up and everything but it's not worth the hassle. A challenge for the bored!

Web sites like this one - particularly when they might possibly contain something of interest which is made nearly inaccessible by ridiculous presentation.

    Maryport!!!

I'd rather be in Mongolia. Zimbabwe and Haiti are touch and go at the moment though... I have what you might refer to as "skin colour issues" that would hamper my residency under Bobby's regime but give certain areas of England a few years and I'm sure it would level out. You're right, there's areas where I live I wouldn't go to in the day, never mind at night, and to be fair it's not even about "skin colour" anymore, there's an underclass that's developed, I sometimes wonder if it's been developed deliberately. I think it's fair to say that the rich are becoming deliberately (much) richer, which certainly causes collateral damage for the rest of us. Or 'them' if you happen to be disgustingly rich.
