So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
Handrejka replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Oh no. Morgan is an instant turn off for me, but that's the episode with Mark Gatiss, so I guess I will have to put up with her. -

She was a director too, the first woman to direct an episode of M*A*S*H. I was listening to an interview with her yesterday as part of the latest M*A*S*H cast podcast. She sounds good. -
Thank you for organising.

You must have seen One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing. It seemed to be on every Saturday in the 80s, most famously it is what replaced The Late Late Breakfast Show when Michael Lush was killed. I have seen 9 or 10 of the films on the list.
-
I have only seen Mary Poppins out of those 4. Not sure how many I have seen in total.
-
I had no idea Tom Skerritt was that old. MASH would have been a great one for last the last round as it lost 3 cast members between December 2019 and June 2020.

May I have One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing. Clive Revill Joss Ackland Frank Williams. Thanks

I had forgotten Hinsilff was still alive and I didn't know until googling that he is Gabby Hinsliff's dad, though it seems obvious now I know.
-
I knew he would die in a year I didn't have my Hitchcock theme.

Thelma Barlow is older than Knox and Derbyshire.

She was never hefty, but I would hardly describe her as emaciated in Man About The House. Anyway, it seems she may have thyroid problems which probably explains her look.

The only reason I remember my niece's birthday is because it's the same as Lehrer's. The only reason I remember my great nephew's birthday is because it's Freddie Mercury 's death anniversary. Back in topic, caught a bit of Coronation Street while at my mum's and though Paula Wilcox looked very gaunt and seemed to be wearing a wig. Anyone know anything?

Well done En Passant.

Peter Bowles is a hit for me here. Can I replace him with Wally Fawkes please?

Emma Wray of Watching and, not much else really is 57 today. -
I feel kind of sad about it, but a hit is a hit.

Weirdly I was listening to The British Sitcom History Podcast on To The Manor Born when I heard the news.

Interesting topic. As with previous posters, a lot of my favourites are long dead and I am a bit superstitious about listing these as many of them are potential future DL picks. Any typos are intentional due to superstition. 1. T0m Lehrer - goes without saying really. 2. David Lynch - I have enjoyed most of his work and find him fascinating. 3. Eva Marie Saint - One of the last living links to one of my favourite films, North by Northwest. 4. Kate Bush - I don't think I really got music until I saw her on one of those Sounds of the 70s shows. 5. Gary Burghoff - Could have been any of the M*A*S*H gang really but he has the link to the film and is indirectly responsible for getting me into pen pal writing. 6. Martin Parr - love his postcard books, fond memories of laughing with my dad over them. 7. Werner Herzog - I don't like all his stuff but The Enigma of Kasper Hauser is one of my favourite films. 8. Grant Naylor - cheating a bit here by selecting a duo, but I prefer their collaborative Red Dwarf to Doug's solo efforts. 9. T!m Curry - I know Rocky Horror was Richard O'Brien 's creation, but it was T!m as Frank that piqued my interest. 10. Patricia Quinn - Another Rocky Horror cast member. I was Magenta in our Shadow Cast. Loved it. 11. Andy Hamilton - Shelley, Old Harry's Game, Drop the Dead Donkey. All comedy classics for me. 12. Kenneth Cope - Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) is comfort telly for me and he was in every episode, though I prefer Annette Andre generally. 13. Neil Hannon - I just enjoy his music and it reminds me of my friends. 14. Derek Griffiths - A charismatic performer. Always a joy to watch. 15. Allan Ahlberg - Really enjoyed his books as a youngster. 16. Michael Praed - For shallow reasons 17. David Yip - Just really like him as an actor, always found him a reassuring presence in films as a kid. 18. Loren Coleman - I like cryptozoology and fin his books very accessible. 19. Kim Gordon - Possibly the only person more obsessed with Karen Carpenter than I am. 20. Richard Carpenter - Okay, maybe there is one more person who is more obsessed. While Karen was always the main focus, credit where it's due, he was good at what he did. There are a load of nearlies - Jarvis Cocker, Ken Deighton, Mary Quant, Ray Davies and loads more.

I was at school with a girl, who despite studying for A-levels in Religious Studies and German didn't know that Martin Luther was not the same person as Martin Luther King. We ended up at the same university both studying German and every time Martin Luther was mentioned I would smirk to myself. Mind you, I shocked a colleague today when I said I didn't know who Nickleback are and I upset a pen pal because I didn't know who Years and Years are.

I knew his name from Red Dwarf, but he turned up in loads of stuff. It was always fun to see him.
-
He is in my IT C theme team.
-
Drat. He was on my alternative 50 last year, dropped him for this year.

Is she the first person who was on Celebrity Catchphrase to have died?

I have just got favour of my head after someone else mentioned it a few weeks ago. Damn you. -
Oh she likes onesies. I suspect it was her who bought me one , a leopard print one, as a secret Santa gift a few years ago. I don't like them and have never worn it. I guess she has given up on trying to get me to dress like her and is trying something else.
