  1. mmm im surprised shes not poisened by that awful perfume she makes.... :D

    Terrible stuff that poisen.

How do you use it? Smoke it? :rip:

    regards,

    Hein

I suppose one would smoke it : per - for, fume - smoke. I don't know that much Latin, I don't even like Ricki Martin.

I do have to wonder though, is this perfume bottled? I had a boss who made his own 'perfume' once. I'm surprised he didn't "poisen" us too.

    :skill2:

  2. I see the latest Woodward/England whinge-fest is now in full cry.  Apparently they (ie Alisdair Campbell) put together a 20 minute slide-show bitch about the O'Driscoll tackle for their press conference.  Might have been a better use of your time if you'd looked at why you got utterly stuffed.

I think the man's (Clive) a genius. All the harping on about the O'Driscoll tackle and not a word about the man banned for biting. Only a truly brilliant mind could deflect the attention in such an underhanded manner.

    Go Saints!!!

  3. The language of Shakespeare, Milton and the Bible.

Treat it with some respect, you buggers.

I'm becoming quite convinced that there ought to be a new sarcasm guide, sarcasm definition or maybe even a little 'sarcastic' smilie to make things obvious for the less aware in our midst

I lean towards the smilie myself, a simple click would help smooth out potential kinks between language, culture and limited mental acuity.

  4. Some Austrians still play the denial game, yeah .. but it's harmless in the modern day and age really compared to the denial games I've heard people play in other parts of the world. Try speaking to a Russian about the crimes of Stalinism. Try speaking to an American about war crimes in Vietnam. Try speaking to a Serbian about Srebrenica. Try speaking to a Japanese about World War Two before the dropping of the atom bombs. Try speaking to a Brit about the Dresden bombing. THAT, my friend, is real denial on a scale that has luckily gone out of fashion for most people in Austria.

For most people or only the most famous Austrian?

    I'll be baack

  5. It reminds me of my elderly father complaining about a TV documentary (Man finds spiritual enlightenment and rent boys in parts foreign).

"It was a disgusting load of rubbish, how can they show that sort of thing?" said gunjadad5000

"Why not just change channel?" I asked.

"I couldn't," replied gunjadad5000, "it was on video."

I see his point though, complaining's much more fun.

  6. I'm sorry if I've made this a bit hard to follow.

The Pope, Benedict 16, not the last/dead/old Pope, was a member of the Hitler Youth. The still living Kurt Waldheim was member of the German armed forces with a questionable service record.

While not unthinkable that the Pope would have the former United Nations Secretary General over for dinner, in my opinion it would be highly unlikely that their war service records would be a welcome topic of conversation over sauerkraut and sausages. It might cause an embarrassing moment or a stunned silence followed by a swift change in the topic of conversation.

I thought it to be an amusing situation, much like Michael Palin singing 'I'm a lumberjack'. While the lovable Mr Palin is not now, nor never has been a lumberjack, the song is not ruined for me knowing he's just pretending.

    Obviously I was wrong.

  7. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the Pope has Kurt Waldheim over for a  few drinks, dinner and a nice long chat about old army days.

Are you talking about Benedict now?

Yes, otherwise it would say "I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall...". That and I don't think John Paul 2 was ever in the German armed forces.

  8. So esteemed Death Listers we know we're clever enough, what's the best system of justice?

Transportation to the colonies without all that dilly-dallying around with a trial and evidence, and all that rubbish.

And for those of us in the colonies, what worse punishment could there be than being sent back? Yikes!

I could think of no punishment crueller than being transported to a desolate island where 24 degrees is considered a heatwave.

  9. Phew, must be a real stinker of a summer heatwave over there.

I see from the BBC weather site it was 26C today and they are forecasting 24C for tomorrow.

I don't know how all those old people aren't falling over like ninepins, seeing how it's such a scorcher an' all.

Still too hot for the Aussie Cricket Team....

Seems that's one group of old fogies that are wilting in the heat!

Now, now, no call for that. Ever notice how little people talk about the weather where the weather's nice?

  10. I CAN CONFIRM THAT LARRY HAGMAN DIED OF A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK TODAY.HOPE THAT SATISFRIES YOU!

Would you like 'SATISFRIES' with your order?

He doesn't look too dead according to google either.

No, I don't know how that happened.

  11. Will he start flogging, like another former heavyweight champ, cheap kitchenware? I can't wait for the Mike Tyson Grill. Knocks out the fat, bites off it's ear and won't take no for an answer.

  12. below is a link with a pic.  I'd hardly call her hot, or even kind of hot, from this photo, but anyway.

Ronnie, to be fair she's in Bali and it's hot and humid, she's in jail and possibly not feeling her greatest. I also doubt that her agent is vetting her press beforehand. Friday night down the pub, in glad rags and make up (her, not me), and being the customary six sheets to the wind she'd look pretty good to my former unmarried self.

Don't get me wrong, anyone stupid enough to take 4kgs of pot somewhere it grows wild deserves shooting. Shooting? Maybe 20 years of her life. No that's a bit harsh, um...

What should the penalty for stupidity be?
