Though to leave a canidate off the list that we have been patiently waiting for to drop for about a decade would practically be a crime? I can't see leaving for example Clive Dunn of a list and hearing the news of his demise..DL greats who have had a past history should remain untill there time of graduation.

I did some limited research... I can't find a single article that even mentions her health. She did appear at the 1998 and 2003 Academy Awards ceremoines, but no mention of how she looked. NNDB and IMDB don't list a single health problem, in fact the only mention that I could find about anything suspect was an abortion she had in the late 1930s (according to Wikipedia). Of course, age is age, but that's always the luck of the draw. If we didn't add her and she died on January 1, 2006, it wouldn't have been a poor decision on the part of the council, just pure bad luck. Also, we do have plenty of prime candidates, so old age should be something we consider after other things. This is the latest pic I was able to find, Luise Rainer attending the London premiere of "The Aviator" in December 2004. She looks pretty good for her age. If you go by this photo she is not a 2006 deathlist canidate.

I really do not understand why this phrases is so often used. What does it matter? What the hell is classes as a quality post anyway? Quality not Quanity ~ Simply it's better to have 5 good posts that are detailed and that have meaning then 10 with just rants and smiley faces. Lamb was another one on my list of physicists... I've heard very similar stories about his declining health, and I'd probably put him right after those that I mentioned above. Montalcini is old, but I'm not sure that she's any less healthy than any of the other's that have been mentioned. Always a possibility at that age, but far from a certain one. And to agree with what others are saying, Heesters (who was born in 1903, making him only 101 currently) is surprisingly spry for his age. Then again, once you hit the big 10-0 you can go down and out in a matter of weeks, or even days. I still stick by my originals, but definetely add Lamb to the list... possibly Lena Horne too (I'm not up to snuff on my research). There are still no promises that any of these suggestions will will top the charts reflecting on there fame.

Also my latest dream recently, Although i can't promise it was based on death but i figure if i dream about any canidates on this list it must be a positive sign. If you look in his Wiki biography you can see him in the year 2000 with William Hannah who looks quite frail and he did indeed pass the following year. In that photo Barbera looks pretty good at age 89 but that was 5 years ago so hopefully my dream will pay off. We still have some high quality canidates on this list that could croak before the years end, and looking into December i hope the DL finds some festive holiday joy which we call successes.
