There's also this annonucement on the Mud website Dave Mount was born on March 3rd making him 59 when he passed away Apparently he topped himself. Shame. That is a shame, I used to love their hit Tiger Feet and would dance for ages listening to it over and over again, then again I was only 3 years old at the time and of course I was also a big fan of T-Rex too Ooh I'm coming over all nostalgic now. Mud were the first band I ever saw live, when I was about 15.

I saw Trevor Bannister (Mr Lucas) in Guildford High Street yesterday, looking a bit rough ... but maybe he'd just been for a Christmas lunch or something. I sooooo wanted to ask him "are you free?"

Simply predicting who will die in the oncoming year i can not believe people do that, dont you think thats pretty awful. death is not a good thing, its not a game guessing who will die. . . . sick Death is inevitable so we might as well get some sport from it

Apparently she's been getting death threats. I hope it's true but I suspect it's just more of her attention-seeking behaviour..

Did you do the "artwork" yourself? I am very impressed

The first celeb deaths I remember were JFK in 1963 (I was 4), and then Churchill in 1965. Bloody hell I feel really old now.

Just found this on Wiki: In the early 1990s, Ratzinger suffered a stroke, which slightly impaired his eyesight temporarily. This was known to the Conclave that elected him Pope. In May 2005, the Vatican revealed that he had subsequently suffered another mild stroke; it did not reveal when, other than that it had occurred between 2003 and 2005. France's Philippe Cardinal Barbarin further revealed that since the first stroke, Ratzinger had been suffering from a heart condition as a result of his age, and is currently on medication. Because of these age-related health problems, and in order to have free time to write, he had hoped to retire, and submitted his resignation twice, but had continued at his post in obedience to the wishes of Pope John Paul II. It is also notable that he appears to be in far better health than his predecessor was at the age of 79. Two strokes, heart problems, 79 years old, lots of upset Halibuts ..... I may include him in my 2007 DDP team.

I watched it too & completely agree. He was very brave & dignified.

It's actually a Saddam Hussein look-a-like. I forget where I found the photo. I wonder if he works for one of those lookalike agencies. He could make a very good living.

Phantom, is your avatar Saddam Hussein?

Unless....

What was he retried for? My guess is crimes against fashion. BTW why is "Godalming" in quotes?
-
Fingers crossed .... or is that just a tad superstitious?
