Some of these near misses are a bit obscure ... if you have to explain what a person did then they can't have been too famous. e.g. if Madonna died (wishful thinking), you wouldn't need to say "Pop star Madonna dies"

Hello everyone! Thanks for all your greetings. Windsor was right - I've been off work today so haven't had time to waste on the forum!

Did they sing Cinderella Rockafella? My mum used to play that all the time. For some reason I thought they were brother and sister. I obviously spent too long listening to the Carpenters How's Richard Carpenter these days? I always thought the Carpenters were somewhat spooky. (Karen had a fab voice though) Yes there was something a bit odd about them, though she did have a great voice. As far as I can tell Richard is in perfect health. He married his cousin and fathered 5 children. So he's sick in another way. Good thing Karen died otherwise he might have married her. Imagine what the children would've been like.

But aren't Christians supposed to "forgive those who trespass against us"? I've always had trouble getting the hang of religion... PS Windsor, I'm surprised you're a Corrie fan I have nothing against real Christians - only those who cling to organised religion for social status. This group probably makes up the majority.
