Yeah he did go downhill quite quickly. Used to see him in the Royal Inn just up from his gaff on the marina a lot. Still had all his marbles even then. He moved into assisted care about 12-18 months ago it seems. Maybe should have clocked but with everything else going on.. Him and Eddie Large both gone within space of 12 months or so.. lived about 400 yards apart.
