To be fair, they do seem to attract the dimmest of the dim on Tipping Point. I know someone who purports to be a Manchester United supporter who had never heard of Frank O'Farrell. He's 2 years younger than me, thinks football began with the Premier League & Sky.

I contend that you can have a drink, and be over the legal limit for driving, without being drunk, in the accepted sense of being drunk. Therefore, to call anyone who exceeds the legal limit a 'drunk driver' is just stupid.

I hated it at the time. -
It's now 19 years since Adam Faith died, and Channel 5 still hasn't improved.

US songwriter Carole Bayer Sager is 75 today. Her solo performing chart success is 1977's "You're Moving Out Today" (written with Bette Midler, who had the US hit), which reached number 6, but numerous songwriting credits for other artists including Neil Diamond, Michael Jackson, Kanye West & Phil Collins, some with ex husband Burt Bacharach. -
Sounds like you mean Wordle, rather than Worldle. My Worldle score today was 1! (A usual 4 on Wordle)

Probably that 5-0 defeat that did it.

Ben Murphy is 80 today. Best known (this side of the Atlantic anyway) as quick-drawing 'Kid' Curry to Pete Duel's Hannibal Hayes in Alias Smith and Jones (they never shot anyone!). -

US singer/songwriter Paul Evans is 84 today; his most well-known songs were hits for other people - Roses are Red (My Love) for Ronnie Carroll (UK) & Bobby Vinton (US) and When, for The Kalin Twins. His earliest chart success as a singer was with The Curls & Seven Little Girls Sitting in The Back Seat in 1959, which reached number 25, beaten by The Avons version, which reached No. 3. He had top 10 success some years later, when the maudlin Hello, This is Joanie (The Telephone Answering Machine Song) reached number 6 in 1978. -

wtf was my initial reaction. Always a bit of a shock/surprise when someone dies of a heart attack at a pretty young age (i.e. younger than me). If I remember correctly, liked a fag and a drink! -
