Big enough for the tabloids, whereas not a mention of the likes of Clifford Rose; modern meeja for ya! We're getting old.

I'm assuming the DDP Committee were waiting for the non-paywalled Clifford Rose obit from the Gruaniad. Its arrived. Still not a peep from the beeb though.

Double-edged sword, deputy PM is Dominic Raab.

Former Astros & Red Sox shortstop Julio Lugo has died aged 45, an apparent heart attack. Would have been 46 tomorrow. edit to add that he would have been a valid pick in Scavenger Hunt Bingo IV, but wasn't, presumably because no-one expects 45 year-old former athletes to die.

There are sources other than Amazon! I haven't listened to it yet, so I have no idea what horrors lurk within.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
time replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It's no Robot of Sherwood, as they say. I watched last night's episode and thought it a mess; Jodie Whitaker (and others but mostly her) spent half the episode explaining what was going on, rather than just let the story unfold by the medium of moving pictures! FWIW I think Chibnall is trying to be too clever, and seems to be trying to leave some sort of legacy. Hopefully when RTD resumes his role as showrunner we can get some decent writing. -

@Dying Probably How's this DP going?

Please Release Him, let him go... His own website says rescheduling for early next year, (I'm not clicking on The Scum) so even if its serious, he/his management is playing it down. Then again, at 85, borrowed time & all that. Certainly DL-worthy IMO.

That's my council leader. I've never seen a photo of him where he doesn't look as if he's enjoying the smell of his own farts. Of course he should resign, but politicians don't do that any more do they? -

Another day, another dead Aussie cricketer, this time its 58 year old Keith Bradshaw, who played for Tasmania, but was more notably chief executive of the MCC (from 2006 to 2011), the first non-Briton in the post. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2008 and returned to Australia in 2011, becoming chief executive of the South Australia Cricket Association. -
This year more than any other, you need a Captain Sir Tom poppy pin As with all this Captain Tom stuff, his daughter is never far away (the brand manager one, not the other one)

I've heard no fireworks this year, not even in the days/weeks leading up to today. There are no official displays this year which I'd have thought would have meant more unofficial fireworks. No doubt now I'll be woken up at 3 o'clock by the morons out past their bedtime.
