I'm sure this will be of interest to certain members - it's their new single. -
Still no official word on which (if any) Steve Sweeney has died. You'd have thought, given the ambiguity, that someone (an agent or management company perhaps) would have clarified by now. Anyway, someone has posted on Twitter that the UK Steve was 61. (eta - The independent has also updated it's report to amend his age to 61)

Off and running (finally) with my M*A*S*H team, thanks to Donald Sutherland, which is about the only satisfaction I take from his demise.

Former India bowler David Johnson (2 tests in 1996) has died after falling from a fourth-storey balcony. He had been in poor health recently, so read between the lines if you like. He was 52. -
Many years ago I had a schoolfriend named Stephen who, on being questions by a teacher if he knew anything about the name "Steve" being scratched into a (wooden) desk, tried to convince him he spelled his abbreviated name as "Stephe". Admittedly, the chances of you and he being the same person are pretty slim, but its not impossible.
-
Ah, I misinterpreted your post, sorry 'bout that.
-
"Sweeny" is mis-spelled but "Steve" is correct isn't it?
-
Reportage today is not like what it used to be (its probably "AI-assisted"). 74 is definitely too aged for UK Steve Sweeney.
-
It seems as if there are multiple AI-generated reports which have conflated the two into one, which doesn't help, but most of the Facebook references are for the UK actor (and even the ones who report the comedian use the UK actor's photograph). It's also reported on Vas Blackwood's instagram, according to one Facebook post from last night (I don't do Insta, so can't verify). The Independent is also reporting UK actor now. (based on Kathy Burke's tweet). https://x.com/Independent/status/1803699877731238155
-
Actor Steve Sweeney reported to have died (by Kathy Burke, so probably reliable)
-
@Commtech Sio Bibble @Clorox Bleachman The Simon Cowell confusion has been rectified. (Drop 40 has also been corrected).

If this was anyone other than Farage, you'd excuse them having a senior moment and making a genuine mistake. https://x.com/Nigel_Farage/status/1803428288867557852

Here's an actual proper UK newspaper obit for James Chance, for those that don't like yahoo .
