Here's one presenter who probably won't be stepping in! -
According to the Guardian, the lack of broadcast of the sixth episode has angered programme makers, which it identifies as Silverback Films; reference to their website finds the series described thus: Wild Isles is a major new five-part natural history series from Silverback Films that aims to do for the wildlife of Britain and Ireland what the ‘Planet’ series have done for the wildlife of the world. The first episode will air on BBC One and iPlayer at 7pm on Sunday 12th March. No mention of a sixth episode.

The mother of Aussie Test captain Pat Cummins, Maria Cummins, has died. Cummins and goings, if you like.

From what I hear the supermarkets are better stocked and its easier to see a dentist than over here.

Obviously? I'd be interested in seeing the evidence to support such a claim.

It's 39 years since the death of actor Dino Shafeek. Born in Dacca (now Dhaka), in what was then British India (and is now Bangladesh, and inbetweentimes, was East Pakistan), he emigrated to Britain in 1958. Already experienced in amateur theatre in Dacca, he enrolled in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and had his first film role in the Yul Brynner feature The Long Duel (1967). He had several minor appearances in various British TV programmes (e.g. The Saint, The Avengers) as well as other small roles in feature films, but its for two sitcom roles he's chiefly remembered. His first was as the Char Wallah, Muhammed in It Ain't Half Hot, Mum, with 56 appearances - his voice was heard performing the musical interludes, and it is he who is told to "shut up" at the end of each episode while singing Land of Hope & Glory. The second role, was as Pakistani language student Ali Nadim in Mind Your Language (29 episodes), frequently appearing in conflict with Indian classmate Ranjit Singh. (No-one said it was sophisticated). He died from a heart attack, aged 53 (11 days before his birthday).

I've had a listen to the remaining songs I didn't know (turns out I knew one of them, but obviously never knew the title), as its getting to the stage where I'm finding it difficult to downvote the ones I know!

Celebrity? IMHO, yes. Joseph Zucchero, the founder of the Chicago restaurant Mr. Beef, which was the inspiration for, and setting of the recent FX serial The Bear, died on 1st March aged 69, in a Chicago hospital.

Nari Contractor, former captain of the India Cricket team, is 89 today. He played 31 tests in a career cut short by a life-threatening injury when hit on the back of the head by a ball from West Indies' Charlie Griffith during a tour match against Barbados. He suffered a fractured skull, causing a blood clot, which temporarily paralysed him from the waist down, and required two surgeries to remove, during which several players, including the West Indies captain Frank Worrall, donated blood. He returned to playing first-class cricket, but was never again selected for his country, the selectors unwilling to risk what might happen should he get hit again. -
