I haven't watched any of The Traitors, but I se its got favourable reviews. I might watch it on catch-up (like everything else I'm never going to watch on catch-up). I have just had a month of free Paramount Plus streaming thanks to Walkers, during which I watched all 6 Mission Impossible films and Top Gun Maverick (and a few more besides, not all with Tom Cruise). Eighty Pence on a bag of Quavers money well spent.

The Hardy Tree has fallen. He'd suffered with dementia for several years prior to his death, raising money for the Alzheimers' society, and died in his sleep on Boxing Day 2012.

West Indies batsman Rohan Kanhai is 87 today Initially a wicketkeeper, he became famous as a batsman scoring over 6000 runs in 79 tests over 18 seasons, and 194 runs in 7 ODIs, the last of them being the inaugural one-day world cup final when at age 40, he scored 55, helping the West Indies recover form 50-3 to win the match by 17 runs. There is a Wetherspoons pub in Ashington (where he played league cricket) named after him, and Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar named his son Rohan in his honour.
