So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
time replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I haven't watched any of The Traitors, but I se its got favourable reviews. I might watch it on catch-up (like everything else I'm never going to watch on catch-up). I have just had a month of free Paramount Plus streaming thanks to Walkers, during which I watched all 6 Mission Impossible films and Top Gun Maverick (and a few more besides, not all with Tom Cruise). Eighty Pence on a bag of Quavers money well spent. -

Apologies for missing Christmas -
The Hardy Tree has fallen. Named for the author Thomas Hardy, who, as an architects assistant, organised gravestones to be moved to the base of said tree, when the graveyard of St. Pancras' Old Church was destroyed to accommodate the extension of the Midland railway. It was undermined by a storm earlier in the year, and had been fenced off after being attacked by a fungus in 2014.

As an older user I resemble this remark. Also I have/had no problem with Diego posting an Olympian's death in the Olympic Deaths thread. I'm more pissed off by the repeated jokes about Peter Falk having Alzheimer's tbh.

53 Kate Bush – Wuthering Heights 26 Donna Summer – I Feel Love -6 18 David Bowie – Space Oddity 15 Blondie – Heart of Glass +4 At this point, a vote for Blondie is nothing more than a protest, but c'est la vie.

Its 10 years since the death of TV producer Gerry Anderson, aged 83. He's best known for pioneering the use of puppets with electric-controlled animated elements, which he call supermarionation. This technique was untilised in worldwide hits Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5, Captain Scarlet, Stingray and more. He also developed live-action science fiction series', including UFO and its sequel Space 1999. In addition to his film and TV works, he directed the video for Dire Straits 1991 song Calling Elvis. He'd suffered with dementia for several years prior to his death, raising money for the Alzheimers' society, and died in his sleep on Boxing Day 2012.

West Indies batsman Rohan Kanhai is 87 today Initially a wicketkeeper, he became famous as a batsman scoring over 6000 runs in 79 tests over 18 seasons, and 194 runs in 7 ODIs, the last of them being the inaugural one-day world cup final when at age 40, he scored 55, helping the West Indies recover form 50-3 to win the match by 17 runs. There is a Wetherspoons pub in Ashington (where he played league cricket) named after him, and Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar named his son Rohan in his honour. -

Morning all, and a Merry Christmas (other festivals are available). I hope everyone got what they wanted this year - I got my gas bill.

I refer you to the post I submitted approximately 12 months ago.

That much is true, but if your pay is devalued, or your working conditions have significantly deteriorated since you signed that contract you have a legitimate grievance. Contracts are between two parties.

Re the above. Wrong thread.

Preaching to the choir there. I doubt anyone hereabouts has bought/streamed the single, and yet, it still made it to number 1.

Considering their associations with the BBC, I'm surprised by the omissions of Kay Mellor & Eddie Butler.

Nine deathlist tabs?????????

There's no escape, it's there as well.

The point is, I didn't go looking for it. No-one has to go looking for it. Even with a quick glance online, the same information is there.
-
Its a means of uniquely identifying the team, but that's not important right now.
-
It was announced on the six o'clock news.

Makes me long for the days of X-Factor winners. I see @Sly Ronniealready made this point. apols.

My third entry has just been submitted. To be honest, the best bit about it is probably the team name.
