I was just wondering what if one of his loved ones were to google his name and find me betting on his death. I don't want or mean to be disrespectful. But I just think deadpooling its an interesting and strategically stimulating game. Can I not question things??? GEEEZ!

Boo fucking hoo..... at least he wasn't a cancer research campaigner. Then we could all actually feel bad about "predicting their demise". That's been part of the DDP (or at least part of it for the "winners") for a few years now (*vaguely motions in "our" champion's direction*). But you feel bad about some rapper despite that? If you had said "The rise of radical, frothing-at-the-mouth fundamentalism all around the world, while we live with the delusion that it is only limited to about a dozen guys tooling around a small part of Iraq in a couple of Toyota pick-ups, makes me feel stupid for sitting here playing this game, or any other game for that matter" I might have agreed. K.....

That was a sad one. All those photos of his family/friends laying in bed with him make me kind of rethink playing this game.. Sucks when any young person dies.

Office Depot were acquired by OfficeMax last year, although the article states that it was the other way round. Not sure why they decided to keep trading under the name of OfficeMax and close the Office Depot stores. I don't know where you live but we have Office Depots in Kentuckiana.

Gobbled up by the giant stapler... Staples is to acquire Office Depot. Whenever I needed labels or protest flyers printed, I would go to Office Depot. Sad loss. RIP Office Depot 1986-2015 http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/business/wp/2015/02/04/staples-to-acquire-office-depot/

Me too, I didn't want to bother about it because she was a joke pick but in last year's game, Kenya Moore was Miss USA, not Miss Universe.

Blame it on the Halibuts, of course.

*In defense of the mystery person's entry, he forgot about time zone difference and was sleeping because he has a very bad cold and is trying real hard to feel better before work tomorrow. So he didn't have the extra time to ponder over his picks. But if its a no he says thats fair...

So does this mean you decided no on Khodorkovskaya? That mention of her death was from Reuters, no? Or is it not discernible? The first obit. Not the one in the Guardian where she isn't named.
-
I'll have a closer look at that after Christmas and come to a decision before the end of play next week... This Guardian profile of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, published only a day ago, is also worth considering as it makes brief mention of his mother's death (albeit it doesn't mention her by name, what's the protocol in that regard?). Thanks for the backup. Did you pick her too? Here's the celebrity rules on DDP... DEFINITIONS: "Celebrity" means someone who, upon their death, gets a written obituary in a British national newspaper or on the BBC News website. This does mean that you can't always be sure when picking your team whether each person will be famous enough or not, but that's all part of the game. "Obituary" simply means an article which mentions the fact that the person has died. It doesn't have to be the conventional biographical write-up. "Alive" means drawing breath, not decomposing, that kind of thing. "No longer with us" is the opposite of the above! "Death" means the transition from the former to the latter. The death of a career (e.g. Michael Barrymore) doesn't count. But I did think that the person had to be mentioned by name.. Maybe not..

Who Should Be On The 2015 Deathlist?
Estuarian Float replied to Dr. Zorders's topic in DeathList Forum
I don't have much to suggest but, I'm going to suggest actor Jerry Stiller famous for his roles in 'Seinfeld' and 'The King of Queens'. He's also the father of Ben Stiller. Born in 1927. Here are some recent photos. http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Jerry+Stiller+Al+Hirschfeld+Work+Celebrated+ceWn-d5kM43l.jpg http://www.ennisinc.com/data/photos/3560_1susan_comicgeniusmatthoyle.jpg I'll also say that the DL committee would have to be a gang of boneheads not to pick Leonard Nimoy. -
Does this count as an obit for Marina Filipovna Khodorkovskaya? It seems to be an archive of Reuters footage regarding her and Mikhail. It starts off with a decent write-up for Marina's death. http://www.itnsource.com/en/shotlist//RTV/2014/08/03/RTV030814045/ Edit: I also found a full New York Times article for her death so there must be another British obit floating around somewhere if the ITN/Reuters doesn't count....

Just entered my first theme team for 2015. "Izanami Orders the California Roll" replacing my soon to be retired theme team "Bet on Black!". The Bedsoring '20s will return again, but I always take that team more seriously so it needs more thought.

Well-known Kentucky auto dealer Sam Swope dead at 88. In 2009 he was awarded the "Louisvillian of the Year" award. An award previously given to Muhammad Ali. I serve banquets/parties at a hotel in Louisville and Swope was a frequent guest as a member of a club that we serve every Thursday. http://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/local/2014/12/09/auto-dealer-sam-swope-dies/20151951/
