It seems that in these days, the only way to accomplish anything is to "shout in everyone's faces". However not sure if  thats being a "prick" or not.

Well, shouting in people's faces can lead to a bullet going into your head. America is already heading that way. So do it at your own risk.

  2. Looks like the queen simply died of old age:

Heart failure is simply the heart steadily giving up after beating for so long; it can be controlled with drugs for some years, but it's ultimately a terminal condition.  She would also have had atherosclerosis, which typical of someone who has reached such an advanced age.  All in all, these are conditions due to the very old age, so not a surprise.

    Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth.

On a side note, did anyone notice all the filth posted about her on Twitter? Some of it has hundreds of thousands of likes. I wouldn't recommend going to check it out, but it's sad that stuff's allowed at a time like this.

Twitter is full of cretins.  I never go there.

From what I've read, the official notification was released at 6:30 local lime, but she passed away around 4:30. Pravda seems to be the only site to mention that, according to their sources, she was unconcious when reported as comfortable.

Almost certainly she was sedated with morphine.  This is normal practice with terminal patients reaching their end.

"Buckingham Palace declared the passing of Britain's longest-serving monarch aged 96 at 6.30pm. But flight data shows the Duke of Sussex's jet was still in the air at the time, not touching down at the airport until nearly 15 minutes later."

I believe the queen was already dead when the others all arrived.

Can't believe I'm saying this but BoJo the Clown's statement just put the Prime Minister's to shame. Still glad he didn't get to deliver it from a lectern, mind.

Johnson might have been a lot of things, but he was certainly erudite, I'll give him that.  Compared to Truss he is around 50 points higher on the IQ scale.

It makes you wonder what that bastard Boris Johnson said to her before he got his marching orders.

He probably told her that he will make so much money in the next few years that he'll be even richer than her!

    I agree with the stroke

Possibly, but if she survives she is likely to be totally incapacitated, so what would happen then?  Prince Charles would have to act as a king without actually being so.  A totally ludicrous situation.  Really, the queen should have abdicated upon reaching 90 instead of insisting on carrying on to the bitter end.

If they ever changed the National Anthem, any words would displease somebody or other, perhaps we would follow the example of the Spanish and have an anthem that is just music without words, my suggestion would be Nimrod by Sir Edward Elgar.

The second anthem is from Pomp & Circumstance March no.1, commonly known as 'Land of Hope and Glory'.  But I don't think the national anthem would be changed other than replacing 'queen' with 'king'.

I would guess that if she dies this month, it will be in May or June next year, if she clings on 'til say March 2023 it might be later that same year, George IV died in February 1952 and the Queen wasn't crowned until 2nd of June 1953, for an older King, 14 months seems a bit too long to wait, so they might speed it up.

They would definitely do it sooner than 14 months.  In the modern age these things can be arranged much more quickly.

Now I don't want anybody to send me nasty texts. I am just asking a question with no pretense about it. As an American man asking a British citizen. What does the Queen ever done for you? What has the MOnarchy acheived in the last 100 years?  Asking for a friend.

The monarchy is a symbol - it doesn't need to 'achieve' anything, it's just 'there'.  As you are American I don't expect you to understand this, because your nation sees everything in purely practical terms.

How long after the death is the coronation? If I remember the last one died in 1952 and the queen was crowned in 1953.

It normally takes place the following year.  So it would be in 2023 if the queen dies soon.

Dumb Dane here, but will people get a day off tomorrow if she passes or on the day of her funeral?Could imagine that a lot of people would be devastated and the kids would jump in excitement for getting a day off. It would just be a very British thing to do (stereotype, i know)

No guarantee that the government will ask businesses to close, though it would be expected as a mark of respect.
