As far as I can remember, I was yet to be a fully qualified space cadet at that time. In the round I throught it was a shame. I would have thought the orbit was high enough. Just shows that the station needed it's own radio-controled flight module that could have made remote controlled orbit adjustments without crew aboard. Otherwise I would have sheduled an obit changing flight instead of doing the USA/CCCP meet-up. From Wiki: Skylab B A flight-quality backup Skylab was built. NASA considered using it for a second Skylab B station in May 1973 or later, but decided against it. Launching another Skylab with another Saturn V rocket would have been very costly, and it was decided to spend this money on the development of the Space Shuttle, instead. The backup is on display at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. Been there, done that, got the T shirt. As far as I recall there were no fatalities from Skylab's re-entry and subsequent crash (into the Pacific - or was that Mir?), as some enterprising folk started marketing Skylab protective hard-hats. The jingle began "i'm protected, he's protected, we're protected..." and was pretty annoying. I've also been to the Arr & Space museum but I got a Smithsonian Sweatshirt (which I'm sure I must still have somewhere, even though its shrunk and is now too small). Ok, erm, I suppose I did ask. I know not to in future.

Erm, all well and good, but where were you when they wanted to stop Skylab falling out of orbit?

Talking about Ralf Little, remember his mam in the Royle Family, Sue Johnstone? She's a workmate's Auntie..... I've got a better Lame to FameĀ©VIZ, though. Remember Kirsty Maccoll. Well, the guy who played the piano on "There's a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis" used to go out with my sister, and I'VE MET HIM..... Impressive, eh? -
Why does a certain sketch by Monty Python spring to mind now... actually

I don't google, I Bing. Watch "the google toilet" for details. BTW, in Japan, they have actually made one that does that. I digress, Bing image 4, I think, rather disturbed me.... How come I didn't see the photographer....?

The Ashes stay home! We already had them! Well done to the Poms, for once. I feel that last time, you won, but didn't earn it -- Australia (Ponting more like) gifted it to you with some baffling and very poor captancy. But this time you won it well, no questions asked. Like I said, well done. Now, shut up and let's get on with something else. Rugby?Union Kiwis rule at the proper version of the game, we can't beat 'em though. Interesting the clip you linked has an ex-league player scoring a try, Union trained players only kick goals. See also Jason Robinson. Anyway, it's off topic. -
As I run the Stupid Questions League sub-forum elsewhere, or do a lot in the running, if it's just an "enter and some other sucker sorts it out" thing, yeah, I'm game.
