I think you will find it is a planned convention rather than conference. I only used the term "conference call" because I couldn't think of any other way of putting it. But let me rephrase... Would anyone like to be hooked up via the phone to the COnvention/conference/whatever it is? Whatever. I still think that you are taking this meeting out of its original context. Then again, I'm not the organiser - nor am I going. So remember to have fun. Thank you Windsor.

I think we are going to have to play the long game on this one as none of those listed above are likely to die in the near future. I voted for Adam Ant but that was more of a guess than anything.

If Mr Average is busy having a munch of Mrs Average is he really going to give a Monkeys F**k what colour her pubes are? Thats taking grooming way too far. I agree. -
At last somew good news from the Den. After a preseason in which we lost to oppositon from the lower scotish leagues and non-league english teams we finally have something to cheer about due to our 2-0 thrashing of Northampton the wekend.

Quite right Winnie, turning up for a first date in your work uniform is really bad form. As well as that, I probably wouldn't have smelt that great given I had been working in a kitchen all day. So lets recap. I got the message at 9.25PM. I would have to have a shower and get changed (+1 hour) Get transport there (+1hr 30mins+). I'd be in Aberdeen for around 11.55PM with no way of getting home until 6AM the following morning. As well as all that, I made it as clearly as I politely could, that I did not really want to meet up. I'm with you Winnie, all that happens on the internet should stay on the internet. I have no desire to be friends and make nice, I give not a flying f*ck about any of yoose. This little exchange made me think of a possibillty for the convention. Would any DL'ers who can't make it to the venue care to exchange mobile numbers so we can have a "conference call" with them? I realise that TF and Windsor are , quite reasonably, neither coming in person and probably are not up for it by phone. But what about anyone else.

i found a nice mid-80's vintage clip of R O'S [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_FxWsXsSMk} here.

is the idea that we might just free associate until we reach the 40'ish pages of the R O'S thread?

Ever hear of cut and paste? Compose your witty, razor-sharp riposte in Word or somesuch at your leisure, complete with capital letters, punctuation and correctly constructed grammar. Cut your text, then when you're ready, quickly nip in here, paste, post and be off quicker than your boss can clip you round the back of your head. Good idea honez. Thanks for the tip.

I truly hate Dawn French. Not on the Grounds that she is any way physically unappealling. I don't subscribe to the gary Bushel/ Jim davisdson nonsense about there being anything wrong with the way she looks. I ahte her on the very simple grounds that she is not funny but people seem to fawn over her comic abilities.

An absolute monstrosity of a game!! Less than 7 yards. Far too frustrating to play at this time of day. 51.47 Yards well worth the bollocking i got from my boss!! I am actually getting addicted now and may have got the sack but 266.49 yards gotta be hard to beat!!!! i think i may actually die before i give up this game just wont end just like Clive dunn im still playing 344 yards I got 53.57 yards after about tries. Cool game. -
What a strange post^^^.

I am re-reading a biography of Alex Higins at the moment and I agree with Ray Reardon's comment that Higgins wil probably outlive most of his contemporaries through sheer cunningness.

What was the deleted post about? I assume from the posts above this one that the post Saint Peter had deleted was about Madeline McCann. If so I cannot imagine what the detail of the post was that caused it to be deleted. Could anyone tell me, without actually using the bit of the post that was obviously too offensive to read, why the post had to be deleted? The post was not offensive. The mods just couldn't be arsed dealing with the problem that Peter created. It would have attracted masses of ranters and would generally have been more trouble than it was worth. Don't think it was so much the masses of ranters Windsor, that can be dealt with, media attention can't however in such a sensitive case, that could lead to closure and no, I'm not the mod that deleted the post before anyone asks. that pretty much clears that up.

That is really sad news. He was undoubtedly the best British Rock Music manager ever.(Don't bring up Messrs Epstein and McLaren to me).I think my favourite story about him is the band he liked but never signed called Barabus. So called because the could ask the crowd "Who do want?" . to which they would reply "We ant Barabus".

Good point.

.....well done you. You made four posts and that last one actually constituted an answer that was relevant to what was being discussed. Aren't you a good scout. Well done. You're very special.

No and no. See also: The Unwritten Rules. Neither of the posts you have linked to actually answer either of my questions. Which part of 'no' are you having trouble understanding? The part lacking any rationale for your answer. Perhaps in order to assist you I should restate my two questions; "Would it therefore be a good idead to out her on next year's list? [given the earlier part of my post] Would she qualify for the list if she were pronounced dead within the year?" Perhaps in your next post you will be polite enough to try to adress the question, or alternativley post somewhere else.
