And why is he likely to die this year?
-
Who is Tapir Felch?
-
Object to this thread and the thinking behind it more and more. Just got a personal message about my posting. Why does anyone ahve any problem with the ammount that someone else posts?
-
At the moment he has also made a great acheivment in leading this poll by 14.28% from the nearest challengers.
-
Thank you.

Last time I voted for Ronnie Biggs, but I have come to the conclusion that he is not as seriously ill as I had previously thought. This time I have given my vote to Gerald Ford.Regards,
ff
P.S. Oscar Niemeyer and Claude Levi-Strauss names are merged.
My bad. Can a moderator sort that out?

What is wrong with making a lot of posts. Do not understand the need for tis thread.
-
My heart wants it to be Biggs but he looks more and more like he is faking.
Voted for J.K. Galbraith.
And you???????
-
Following the death of William Rehnquist who will be the next DL death this year?
-
My first ever real DL death. How cool.
Well played everyone.
Condolences to the family and all that.

I can tell you that I saw him in Soho two Saturdays ago (corner of Berwick Street and Broadwick Street to be precise) being pushed in his chair by two women who I took to be his wife and daughter.I couldn't tell you if he loooked well or not. What's the point of this post if you're not going to tell us whether he looked good or not? You should have used this opportunity to inquire about his state of health, thereby providing the DL committee with the knowledge required to include/exclude him from next year's list. Frankly, I am disappointed.
I could agree with SFTD. We aren't here to listen to good news
on a possible DL canidate. When we here bad menecing news
we become quite joyus and we feel like celebrating. Otherwise
if there's any word of them doing well it's like opening a christmas
present and finding nothing inside..
Hence my originally saying that all I can tell you is that he was in Soho the other saturday. Posted in the context of a thread that was already up and running and which didn't seem to have any firm opinion on his demise either.
Maybe there shouldn't be a Hawking thread at all.

Biggs next? We can but hope so.
I may regret saying this as i've said before but i doubt
anyone will be shouting "It's Biggs!" anytime soon.
I think he's more of an actor then an ill Ambassador.
Hope your wrong . But it certainly seems to be a bit of a bogus illness.

Nor Windsor for that matter.

My new found stalker Tempus Fugit has amast an amazing amount of posts in such a small amount of time (I only managed 300 and Gunjaman did this to me). Indeed, he has managed 43 today alone. So to the deathlist members - Is it valid contribution or spam?
This is post number 30.
The figure to which you refer is over a 24 hr period, not just Saturday.
No need to be so defensive TF. Have never read you spamming.

Whatever......I'm still gald that Biggs is out in front.
Thanks for all the votes. Keep them coming. I am very interested to see who is in front when we do have another death.
-
Still, good going.

I hope he doesn't die. I am a hardcore Francophile and would be sad to see him go. Don't think it is fair to blame "all of France's current problems" on him and those problems appear fairlyt transitory anyway. Think twice aboiut what the combined intelleigence of Britain has elected as Prime Minister before having a pop at JC.

And stand around for 10 minutes while he waits for his voice box machine thing to warm up. I don't think so. Also I don't think his wife/mother/ woman he hangs around Soho with would have appreciated me going up to him and saying
"Excuse me Mr Hawking, no don't ry to get up. I was just wondering if you were planning on dying anytime soon because I belong to a web forum that tries to work out which 50 celebrities are going to peg it this year. In particular I am responding to a request by a rude interfering twat named after a slightly good Rolling Stones song. He can't be bothered to find out if you will die soon himself you see. Anyway how is your geberal health? And , what is the nature of time ?"
If yopu put a little imagination into it you would realise that a man in his condition being in the West End on a Saturday night was a fair indicator of reasonable health. I said he wasn't looking in any particular state of health.
Problem?

Still say there is no such thing as an obsessive poster, almost all posters are overall constructive and trying to up the DL' s sucess rate.
However I did notice that one colleague has posted 35 times today.
Well done!

For right now I am using this one to express my support for my favourite football team.Football? They don't play football in the UK; they play soccer and rugby.
P.S. I played rugby in law school. I still haven't recovered.
Football, soccer. It is a matter of debate, depending on what side of the pond you live.
So who's your favourite football team? The Bears? The Raiders? Who?It would have to be the Indianapolis Colts. That quaterback, Payton Manning will be in the NFL hall of fame for sure.
Things to do while waiting for death.......
Don't suggest things to do while waiting for death apparently.

I have had some personal dealings with the man and can reveal that he is as much a preening, egotistical, self-obsessed idiot off stage as he is a talentless buffoon, overrated, twat on it.
However I can't see him joining the "Beautiful Corpse " crowd if only because he is far too in love with himself ever to commit suicide.
An unfortunate, but necessary, ommission from DL 2006.
And what arsehole posted that (^) poem?
-
A sad thought but is Bob Newhart (b.1929) a good bet for next year?

Who's Next Now?

possibly the same comedian/ moderator who sent me a personal messsage telling me to stop posting polls and be more "mature".
As I said to him -if I actually felt it to be his bussiness I would do him the favour of granting his message a few seconds of brain space. As it was not I have not.
I do not understand why some people object to the postings of others. In particular I do not see the need to bugger up this poll by attempting to be "amusing".
On a more relevant note; good to see that people appeared top have woken up to the fact that Biggs is fakng and spread the votes around a bit. I want Biggs dead but I think it is more likely to be someone else.
