Not to mention that he falls woefully short on the famousness test. Although not many people alive can boast that they were real 'friends of Dorothy'.

Who's "they?" The BBC or the Vietnamese? Both probably. Those Vietnamese are probably adjusting any sentence according to Glitters bribe size. The BBC as usual are taking the piss.

Yeah, he has been a mite poorly of late. But I'm sure he'll soon be resting comfortably.

Treasonable Politicians

The 7/7 bombers were militants too, that's the problem with militancy, it cuts both ways. -
No Elspeth I think his obsession is with you. Your stern, no nonsense ways have bewitched young Windsor. He is obviously lashing out because he knows no other way to express his inner- most feelings. Try to be understanding of his clumsy wooing, and let the poor felllow down gently.

A nice greeting from Frankie on his website, Well with him performing again it looks like he could go on for a few years yet. Might be an idea to leave Frankie off the '06 list.

If Gary Glitter is convicted, he faces up to 5 years in a Vietnamese prison. The BBC article now says he could face a maximum of 12 years in jail, so it's gone from death to 5 years to 12 years. I reckon they're making it up as they go along.

Treasonable Politicians

And it seems to be a failure so far, as it has not significantly reduced crime and did not stop the subway terrorist attacks from occurring. Perhaps we should have the GPS chips implanted under the skin? That way we could prove where we are at all times and it would show, at the blip of a scan, exactly who we are. Where we are. What benefits we're entitled to. What level of education we've attained etc. If you've done nothing wrong why should you have anything to fear? Only those with something to hide or terrorists wouldn't have them. Indeed our illustrious elected representatives could lead the way in openness. If they've got nothing to hide, then I'm sure they wouldn't object to being hooked up to a polygraph for every interview they give. After all they don't lie to us, do they? -
Elspeth and Windsor, On and on they go, Deja Vu anyone?

Ideas and Possibilities for 2006
Tempus Fugit replied to Death Watch Beatle's topic in DeathList Forum
Jack Kervorkian, the assisted suicide advocate, currently serving a sentence for the second degree murder of a patient with Lou Gehrig's disease, a favourite of AtJ's. http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?...indpost&p=37861. This assisted suicide was filmed and shown on "60 Minutes". His lawyer is asking for his release on health grounds, sounds like he's attempting a Biggs. -
Or the interference of children it seems... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4451992.stm Allegedly of course... Now that Glitter has been arrested, lets hope this statement is followed through. "If evidence of a (legal) violation is found against Mr. Paul Francis, and especially evidence of sexual child abuse, I believe that very strict legal measures will apply to him," said Mr Le Dung.

I did some limited research... I can't find a single article that even mentions her health. She did appear at the 1998 and 2003 Academy Awards ceremoines, but no mention of how she looked. NNDB and IMDB don't list a single health problem, in fact the only mention that I could find about anything suspect was an abortion she had in the late 1930s (according to Wikipedia). Of course, age is age, but that's always the luck of the draw. If we didn't add her and she died on January 1, 2006, it wouldn't have been a poor decision on the part of the council, just pure bad luck. Also, we do have plenty of prime candidates, so old age should be something we consider after other things. This is the latest pic I was able to find, Luise Rainer attending the London premiere of "The Aviator" in December 2004. She looks pretty good for her age.

How did the Gary Glitter thread become a discussion on West Cumbria's propensity for closet gays? Nice gay Cumbria link from the BBC.

Why is death unfortunate? bloody good thing if you ask me, things could get kinda crowded otherwise. Estelle Getty is just about famous enough I'd say. Although only for The Golden Girls, I can't think of anything else except that god awful film with Sly Stallone.
-
Still far too obscure I'd say. Lennie Bennett was on Primetime TV for several years, doesn't mean he's suitable for DeathList though.
-
NO, from me as well. He'll be doing well to last the weekend out. And congrats to Slave to the Grave on the big 500

As the only person from the cast of Treasure Island, still alive, I thought that would be grounds enough. At 99 it's easy money David Davies is a non-entity, a theatrical also ran. He has done nothing of note according to his imdb biog. Real second rate rubbish.

Most Obsessive Deathlisters
Tempus Fugit replied to Gunjaman5000's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Tempus Fugit.. I remember when Tempus joined that August..I must have had 600 posts and as i read his name on the active users list i laughed and said that he would be just a one post wonder and vanish like all the other who have joined. Apparently i was wrong. Congratulations.. And congrats to you Banshees, That post contained no spelling mistakes. I'm honoured that I was the subject of this almost unique post. Whoops just spotted the missing 's' on other. Oh well almost error free. -
Maybe rest him next year and replace him with Cliff Michelmore. They both share a birhday December 11th. 1918 for Solzhenitsyn,1919 for Michelmore. This piece of info is of course entirely irrelevant, but it pleases me strangely.

Why is the a-z celeb list on didtheydie.com, listed alphabetically by first names and not their surnames? Very annoying.
-
It was AtJ's idea, http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?...indpost&p=26544 Although a lot of others agreed to the idea.

Stephen Hawking definitely seems to be deteriorating, He had to cancel an appearance due to health problems. Apparently he had to be resuscitated.
