You could have a Bacon Number bonus, say 1 point for a Bacon number of 3 2 points for a Bacon number of 2 and 3 points for a Bacon number of 1 and 20 points if you pick Kevin Bacon and he dies. Ross Davidson has a Bacon number of 2, hard to believe I know.

You might like to tighten that up a tad, as the current wording would allow any obituary, even one on someone's personal website or Wikipedia. Does "To further encourage interesting picks, the obituary requirements are relaxed for theme teams. All that is required is an English-language obituary from a recognized news source, online or otherwise" work? Wikipedia doesn't count as a news source and Wikinews never reports anything that isn't in many other papers anyways. "All that is required is an English-language obituary from a national newspaper/news agency, online or otherwise" I'd rule out local newspapers, but it's up to you.

    Not Exactly Famous...

Syd Scroggie the legendary blind, one-legged Scottish mountaineer is dead aged 87. You couldn't make this stuff up. Oh and he was born in Canada.

    Someone's Abusing Entropy

CA201 Well if your going to use your fiendish scientrickery, then I'll ask one question; Was it a scientist who came up with that definition I wonder? No, a lexicographer. You might have known if you had taken the effort to read the whole article, including the references: Of course, the article may be lying, I don't have that dictionary at hand. regards, Hein An American lexicographer, really what a revolting notion. Rather like giving the keys for the gun cabinet to junior to play with. Evolution will soon be discredited, rather like that other popular scientific theory of the past, eugenics.

I believe "namu ta'e" translates as "you are a mosquito" or "you are a bloodsucker", but I stand to be corrected on that. DeavonDeathTrip, don't waste your time. This ranter is like six years old. At last someone on your intellectual level Banshees.

It's not so complicated if you take the time to read it. Although [for example] chances are I wouldn't list a canadian on my team. I'm not really for that rule, since if there are no famous canadian celebritys fitting at that time, it would be unnecessary to list them. I would bend the rules. But overall I think Canadian Paul has done a great job, putting his very own Dead Pool together. Arse kisser.

It's not at all complicated TF and my brain is much smaller than yours, only it's not scrambled by alcohol just now. You don't find this overly complicated? Then you're a smarter than the average bear Godot.

Looks overly complicated to me, keep it simple says I. Too much for a bear of little brain like me.

Wouldn't it be ironic if he died tomorrow on the anniversary of 9/11? No, unless irony has been redefined sinced I've been pissed.

Never ye fear young Windsor, I have sent a stern message to the BBC demanding they report the King's death. It will appear soon, I guarantee you. And here it be, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/5333318.stm Those BBC minions fear me so they do.

"Nice Tits" said the unfussy gaylord to the fatboy. God I'm drunk..... (well if you can repost so can I, and at least I have the excuse of being very, very drunk....)

Now I understand where you get your faith. I bet you save the bottles when your finished with them, and ones that should be remembered are labeled for good times. Example 'And this is what I drank when she refused to go out with me' Every little bottle of alcoholic intoxicant is made in the Lord's image. If turning water into the good stuff is OK for Jesus, then who am I to argue.

Sir/madam I'll have you know I speak fluent gobbledegook and passable bullshite. Like many other DeathListers who worship at the altar of alcohol, I find my fluency increseases with consumption of the good stuff. Alcohol is the true Esperanto of our world. The pished understand the pished.
  22. If it's alcoholic and not too sickly sweet I'll drink it. I worship at the altar of inebriation, I care not which one works its magic.
  23. Just four suggestions, so many choices amongst alcohols wide brethren.

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

Just re-read John Brunner's sci-fi novel Stand On Zanzibar. Pretty damn good.
