You might like to tighten that up a tad, as the current wording would allow any obituary, even one on someone's personal website or Wikipedia. Wikipedia doesn't count as a news source and Wikinews never reports anything that isn't in many other papers anyways. "All that is required is an English-language obituary from a national newspaper/news agency, online or otherwise" I'd rule out local newspapers, but it's up to you.

Just re-read John Brunner's sci-fi novel Stand On Zanzibar. Pretty damn good.
