Good for him, nice to see people showing initiative.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Is there such a thing as a 98 year old without a dicky ticker? He could go on for years yet like Philip D'Arcy Hart, his heart supposedly, was also a tad dicky. Didn't stop him making 106 though.

    Jerry Lewis

Jerry Lewis nominated to receive the Congressional Gold Medal for raising more than 1.4 billion for charity via his telethons. He was well enough to appear on the latest telethon on monday, so probably not a good pick for '07.

    Tony Blair

If Gordo had any balls he would have finished Blair off over a year ago, but as he's such a wimp Gordo has blown it, I think his stint as PM (if it happens at all) will be short lived.
  5. Spend an evening at the English National Opera seeing their latest offering, Gaddafi, a laugh a minute fun riot of a young soldiers dream to be great and how it turned into a despots desperate dealings with the West.

    Mollie Sugden et al

Godot - an alien could study English language and culture for many centuries without making head nor tail of this. Yet, for those of us steeped in the history of the mediocre, this is as clear as glass. Why thankyou Pook. So nice of you to say so. I've been thinking about Sugden and Clitheroe. They must have been around the same age. In another life they might have formed a double act, like the Krankies in reverse. That would have necessitated Jimmy Clitheroe dressing up as a schoolgirl. Godot you have a gift for creating disturbing mental images. They'd have had to wed too so there would have been Jimmy dressed as a schoolgirl playing with Mollie's pussy. Now it's that kind of imagination that today's children's television needs.

    Not Exactly Famous...

Shame. A very nice lady, I met her once. Agreed, Anne always came across as very dignified but also friendly. I don't think she should be languishing in the Not Exactly Famous thread, she really belongs in the Near Miss thread, she was a presenter of a Primetime TV show for many years.
  13. Test your balancing ability. My best score was 2570.

Willi Ninja! What a fantastically silly name, he deserves kudos for that alone.

Since it's National Pussy Day, I thought this was appropriate. Pussy Montage

That squirrel sounds like a rather discerning music critic. Shame the outcome wasn't reversed, the sqirrel with the broken nose and the opera singer dead.

Ah, the Mike Peters thread, that was deleted by GR due to some rather angry emails, supposedly from a friend of Mr. Peters.

    Not Exactly Famous...

Prolific Australian author Colin Thiele, dead aged 85 from a heart attack (no stingrays were involved)

    Steve Irwin

I guess he knew too much about crocs to be killed by one of them. Will they play Crocodile Rock at his funeral? Surely the only song appropriate for the funeral is this Steve Irwin, a great environmentalist.
  23. Tempus Fugit

    Steve Irwin

Quite a surprise really, and yet the man has been asking for it for over 10 years. What with poking and pulling crocs not to mention twiddling and tampering with deadly snakes. You really can only get away with that kind of behaviour for so long. This is why David Attenborough will probably see his nineties and Steve Irwin is now decomposing.

    Comedians & Comedy Writers

Wow OoO, that is one long list of comedic mediocrity. I'd forgotten Russ Abbot was even in it, god he was so unfunny it was painful, how on earth he got his own prime time show feck knows. Stu Francis !! christ sake that man couldn't be funny if his life depended on it. Just gazing at that list brings back bad TV memories from yesteryear, fair makes me shudder it does.

Is that a promise or a threat BS? I think it's a promising threat or a threatening promise.
